My family had to make one of the most difficult decisions pertaining to my mother's medical care. The palliative team and one special doctor treated my mother and family with nothing but the upmost respect. Their support helped us in so many ways they have no idea. Thank you NYP and the palliative team. Nurse Rynn, Ella, and that one special dr for not only helping my mother also helping my family. I will forever be humble and grateful.
Waiting is long even in fast track. Nurses doesn’t responses and come to check on their patients. I hope I don’t come here even in my very worst day .
I think I’d rather die than go back here. Not because of the people that provided care to me, but because of management. I am currently fighting a phantom bill from this hospital. Is there anyone out there reading this going through the same thing? Maybe we could start a support group. It’s been a very traumatic experience, and I’m sure I’m not the only one the hospital has mistreated in this way.
I had surgery here 5 years ago and it was great. I went last week to the ER and had a bad experience.
Took my son in to get checked for an allergic reaction. We were seen in a timely manner and the doctors were beyond awesome giving care to my son. As a parent they spent time thoroughly explaining to me what happened and what to do in the future. The best ER experience I’ve had. We were out in a little over 2 hours.
First time here yesterday for a surgery with Dr Sconzo. My anxiety level was at 100. Everyone from the front desk and security to the Dr and staff were professionals and caring. I would definitely recommend this hospital. There is valet parking as well. Clean and organized. Thank you for taking care of me.
I spent more than 4 hours in the emergency room with my daughter with vomiting and diarrhea and totally dehydrated. first they tell us that they would put an IV to hydrate her. We waited 2 hours and no one came to attend to her. my girl in a lot of pain and nausea. We complained because they hadn't given her IV or anything to improve her stomach pain and nausea. and only one doctor came to give him water in a small glass. In the end, we spent about 4 hours and they didn't do an exam or anything. we left the hospital because no one attended her. I will never go back to that hospital.
5 Stars to the Security and general staff, they are friendly and helpful. 5 stars for the Nurses and all of their assistants, they are friendly, helpful and show compassion to the patients (Super important in healthcare). 5 Stars to the people bringing the food to the room, they are friendly and helpful. Sorry 4 Stars for the food, it is better than other hospitals but still Hospital food. 3 Stars to management, long wait times in ER and OR. Sorry to say 1 Star for parking, in this time of infections I don't want Valle parking. I would rather park my own car, the parking employees are very nice it's the fact that I don't want others in my vehicle. The only really negative experience was with some of the ER staff but they are so overwhelmed it was hard not to see why. The compassion of your staff and the doctors we trust is what keeps us coming back. I really wish the doctors would use New York-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Medical Center more often, the staff is awesome up there too. It's so much more convenient and no Valle parking.
I have never experienced a worse ER. The female Nurse Practitioner assigned (1/19/23) was outright rude and condescending, had zero bedside manner and provided little explanation of testings or results. It took over 6 1/2 hours to have a cat scan (after being transferred to this hospital by ambulance) and hours more for results. She told us blood work results were "normal", however printed records clearly stated, in capitals "ABNORMAL" in three categories. It was over an hour wait for her to complete the discharge papers. Nursing staff was observed talking and shopping on internet rather than attending to patients. The rooms were dirty, with garbage from prior occupants over flowing and light debris- same for bathroom. Patients nearby were expressing similar misgivings and frustration about their treatment in this ER. My disabled spouse (71 years old) had to wait in an outside tent in 35 degree weather for the total of 9 hours which we were there as the indoor waiting room is used for COVID patients.
I did not have a good experience in this hospital I explained everything that went wrong. I went for my vitals and sat in the emergency room didn’t get treated for what I was there for . The only good thing is I went for one thing and they found an another issues with me but still no bed side manners, everything was done backwards. It’s no wonder you guys got bad reviews and a low rating . Maybe I should call consumer service, but next time I’ll go to a different hospital like White plains Hospital cause I was very very disappointed !

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
