We had a very good experience with each and every single individual that we met while we were in the hospital. Good job! Thanks
ok
Nice
My mom was brought here by the ambulance that picked her up from her home. She stayed there for about 5 days total. It's not her normal hospital that's at Jamaica hospital. I took the time to read a few comments before I posted mine and it was scary to see what people are writing. I can only go with my own experience. Staff seemed helpful most of the time.Hospital can use a touch up job on equipment, decor and some staff members. You get better customer service from the older staff because they have more customer service experience and know how to respect more due to there up bringing at a different time. In today days, kids don't have much respect. Younger staff seems at time to reflect the neighborhood mood. From what I saw, the hospital has changed on some levels but still need improvement on many other. I know about this place for many years now. I use to live about 5 minute walk from here and know what I'm talking about. One change that's needed badly is the neighborhood, it's ghetto fabulous. This is a major problem and seems to carry over to the mood of some of the younger staff and most people that bring an attitude that should be left home. Respect people and you will receive respect back. Major change starts within a person and then things around you will change as well. Tell me who you walk with, and I'll tell you who you are. Stop the negativity/drama and be positive/motivator. Be a leader and not a follower, so lead by example.
Extremely unprofessional. Made us feel uncomfortable.
REALLY ????? a Hospital????? it look more like a homeless shelter or prison infirmary.....went with a friend and could not help concerned about getting a staff infection.....PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE IF GIVEN A CHOICE!!!!!
This isn't Brookdale hospital idiot's
El peor hospital del mundo no saben tratar las persona ,no saben comunicarse los que trabajan en este hospital son las jente que nunca an pasado un examen .POR FAVOR NYS TRANCA ESTE DESASTRE.
I took my mom to brookdale hospital in 2012.She had a very high fever, throwing up,and global pain (pain all over your body) she was taken by FDNY paramedics.while she was on her way to brookdale hospital. Me and my dad went home to get her insurance cards. As soon as I arrived to my house I get a call from my mom that she's in car service on her way back. Mind you. when she called she was not making sense. I said mom why did u leave she tells me she got discharged. I say to my self no way she left. I met my mom by the car service. I said ma why did you leave the hospital. Again she says I was discharged. Then she shows me the discharge paper. I took a look at it and where it said physicians signature there was not one . It was a signature from a nurse practitioner and where it said patients signature was blank (she never signed the discharge papers)and a prescription for pain relievers.so we thought that she was checked by a physician and she had the flu or something also no blood work was taken either. The next morning she couldn't get out of bed also incoherent global pain. Immediately we called 911 paramedics arrived and she was taken to A different hospital. This hospital that she was taken to administered blood tests MRIs and they found that she had septic poisoning in the blood. So the day before when she arrived at Brookdale if a blood test was taken they would've found the poisoned blood. Three days later she wound up Passing away from the septic poisoning which was caused by a simple kidney stone. If Brookdale hospital would have taken normal precautions she might be here today..... I DONT RECOMEND BROOKDALE HOSPITAL. PS. This story is 100% true. I would never make something so horrible up. Thanks for reading.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
