List of Brooklyn Family Dental's Reviews
Hey everyone! If you're looking for a spectacular dentist, excellent in crowns and fillings, Brooklyn Family Dental is your place. They have 3 dentists and 2 hygienists as well. They have it all and almost do it all! They're a great team that cares for your comfort and dental health. I definitely recommend Brooklyn Family Dental for all!! We take walk-ins!!
This review concerns booking issues and honesty of services. Brooklyn family dental advertises Clear Correct (clear braces/liners that are more affordable than Invisalign) on their website. I booked the earliest available appointment (2 weeks out) and received a call the day before my appointment. They told me they have Invisalign and not Clear Correct... When I asked about their website clearly advertising only Clear Correct, I received a chuckle and "whoops we have to change that." Unprofessional and dishonest. Pushed this whole process another two weeks out for me. I expected more from an established dentist office.
Dr. Shin did an amazing job with my cleaning!!! I'm always afraid to go to the dentist because of my gum sensitivity, but that was one of the most painless cleanings, and my teeth look so good afterwards. Looking forward to the next cleaning. He also gave me a second opinion on continuing aligner treatment and is very knowledgeable.
efficient. friendly. have a cavitron and know how to use it. likely takes your insurance plan. in the neighborhood. owner operated. skip the chain dentist down the street.
Outstanding service and experience. I definitely found my NY dentist and will be back in 6 months!
This is my unfortunate experience with Dr. Unchali. In my initial visit, I needed a variety of work that needed to be done: 2 Wisdom teeth by a rec'd oral surgeon, 1 root canal by a rec'd endontist, and 3 cavities to be filled by Dr. Unchali, to be done in that order. After Dr. Unchali gave me the 3 fillings, I had major pain and sensitivity. I was popping Ibuprofen day and night. There was some communication with Dr. Unchali back and forth, "maybe needs adjustment", etc. As it turns out, the reason why I was in so much pain was because he drilled down too far and touched the nerve, in more than one tooth. So I was given a prescription to go back to the original endontist. The endontist said ALL 3 fillings, actually needed root canals, so I basically had the 3 fillings for nothing! At this point I maxed out my dental coverage and emptied my FSA. Plus I would still need the crowns from Dr. Unchali for the all the root canals and I'm already out of money. I went back to Dr. Unchali and I said please, at least give me a good price for crowns (for his bad fillings mistake) and he said no. He said that I didn't need the crowns right away, and he would just fill it temporarily and I could come back in 2026 when my insurance kicks in for the crowns. For that I had to pay $300 from my pocket for the temporary fillings. He should have had the experience and knowledge from looking at the x-rays, that fillings were never needed in the first place. I should have been sent straight to the endontist for the root canals from the beginning, but I think he wanted the money for himself to do the fillings instead of outsourcing all the work. It was not responsible and it ended up giving me a lot of pain and wasting money and time. and I'm still in pain. And I forgot to say the first crown I had in his office it fall out after one month , Then I have to come back to do it again ,and I'm still in pain

Ahmed has been my dental hygienist for the past few years and he's the best! He's gentle, attentive, and always talks to me about his observations and changes from my last visit. Going to the dentist is not my favorite activity, so I'm very grateful to have Ahmed treat me. Thank you, Ahmed!
Needed an emergency filing done on a Saturday and I was from out of town for a wedding. Dr. Terry and his team were professional and prompt. Cheers!
Friendly staff, easy process/wait, very thorough and knowledgeable!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
