List of Century Medical Gastroenterologist's Reviews
Extremely unprofessional and potentially dangerous clinic. I visited Century Medical & Dental Center (Downtown Brooklyn) for a self-paid appointment with dentist Bogdan Brajic due to severe, worsening pain in a front tooth and facial swelling. I clearly stated that I suspected an infection. I paid for all necessary X-rays. The doctor confirmed the issue, but said he could not help, gave me only a referral to an endodontist, and did not prescribe antibiotics, pain medication, or provide any urgent care instructions. I was sent home with an active infection. The next day, despite having an appointment, the front desk told me they could not help because the doctor would not be available until Saturday and advised me to buy over-the-counter painkillers. Even though multiple dentists work at this clinic, they refused to have another doctor see me. This level of negligence and indifference is unacceptable. Do not risk your health by coming here.
Century Medical and Dental is #1, but the Physical Therapy unit in all your locations needs new exercise equipment, including new massage chairs.
They have no empathy or compassion for the people they're supposed to be helping literally been calling if not everyday , every other day just to get to prescriptions filled from the second week of September till October 3rd giving me all type of excuses about why hasn't been sent where my doctor is that she hasn't why she hasn't sent anything but she's not answering her messages in the portal or how she's on vacation. That was the greatest one because I'm like last week you guys just told me she was busy with patients all of this for a nebulizer (because I have chronic asthma) and birth control they talking about they couldn't even tell me personal information for my file because my doctor didn't sign off on it. They are a waste of time. They don't really care for their patients nor their well-being and just tell you whatever you wanna hear to get off the phone.
‼‼‼‼‼‼TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE‼‼‼‼‼. I waited a month for this appointment, you get there and people are waiting in every corner of the clinic. My appointment was at 10:30 and i arrived 10:15... around 11 i asked how longer do i need to wait? They said that they will call me right away... time passed 11:30.. i asked again and they said Now to wait 20-30 min. After i asked why i saw someone had the same appointment the receptionist said "idk why they do that" if you have to work just know that they couldnt care less about your time. 1 HOUR AND A HALF wait with appointments (an appointment schedule 1 month ago) if the patient has respect for their appointment time the least you can do is the same. I ended up seeing the doctor around 12pm
It's 4:13pm and I just got home from my 3:30pm "appointment". I had not gone to PT for a little over a month since I had so much trips and other things going on. I decided to book an appointment for today at 4:30pm (which I booked yesterday with them). I got a message later on saying for me to call them to see if I could make it earlier. I called in today early and I rescheduled the appointment for 3:30pm with no issues. I left work early. When I arrived, there was two middle eastern men (one which is usually there) along with the Russian girl who I normally see there as well. He makes an internal call and then tells me since I haven't been there for over a month, I need another referral from my doctor since a) It can expire after a few months and b) if you don't go after one month (I think he said) it deactivates. HERE IS THE PROBLEM: No one ever mentioned this to me when I booked the appointment or when I first started coming to this place. Had I known, I would have gone to my doctor to get a new referral instead of wasting my time. So this place knowing this, does not check your record to remind you these things. I asked for a doctor's note and he said that wouldn't be possible. So guess what? My job is going to think I'm lying about leaving early today and who cares about that? This is unacceptable that they're quick to book an appointment to milk my insurance but don't take the time for record keeping for their patients to avoid wasting their time. This review is for their downtown, Brooklyn location at 200 Livingston Street.
I wish I saw the reviews about Dr.Erin Stone before I went to her. She has left my tooth disfigured and I now have a permanent gap due to her negligence. Please avoid this place at all cost. Its going to cost me thousands to fix my tooth.
I ended up going to NYU school of dentistry where I found out FROM A STUDENT that the filling that Erin Stone did caused me to end up with a dead tooth. He figured it out in 20 minutes that not only was the pain not coming from the bottom row, but that there was no feeling in the tooth. He also shaved down the tooth a bit since Dr. Brodgen left it a little too high so it was causing my bite to be off. The nerves within the tooth was dead, but the active nerves around the tooth was sending pain signals to the right side of my face causing swelling of the face, headaches, neck pain, pain and pressure in my eyeball, pain in my nasal cavity which caused me to be prescribed antibiotics that I did didn't need. That was just half of the symptoms. My whole entire experience here has been a disgrace and Viena the receptionist is still dense and haven't responded to my request for the referral. I no longer even need it. I see why people just end up getting teeth pulled. Being dismissed and ignored while in severe pain can drive you crazy.
I've never left a bad review before because I feel bad doing so but I really felt the need to...I needed a new PCP due to running out of my medications upon moving to the area and I was so disappointed and upset that I have to find another PCP. I was scheduled with the NP and she basically ignored everything I told her and the reason why I was there. She was refusing to refill my medication and I had to explain to her how the medication wasn't a controlled substance and was medically necessary for my condition and could be prescribed by a primary care provider. She told me I had to see 5 different specialists for problems I didn't have and despite telling me I had a cardiac condition she didn't even examine my heart lol. All she did was perform an ekg on me 5 times. I'm a medical student so I was baffled by her lack of expertise and poor evaluation. I've worked in the medical field for 10 years and had done a lot of charting + coding so when I saw that she was billing my insurance for basic things like vital signs and billing for normal blood pressure management CPT codes, I was even more baffled because that's not something you're supposed to do. I can't imagine what a patient with no health literacy has been managed like here and it's pretty upsetting to even think about as someone who believes in providing patients with the adequate care they deserve and being properly informed about their health. I have nothing bad to say about the front office. The girls were really nice and I hope they haven't had to deal with any upset patients as a result of the poor patient-provider interactions. If you do decide to visit this clinic please be kind to them as they're just doing their job and don't be that person who takes it out on the front office which I've seen.
Two stars because my first few visits were ok. My frustration is Dr. Grace Masaba has evening appointments and yet will leave despite patients appointment time. My appointment was scheduled 4:15 pm. They called me to come in earlier and I did the best I could seeing how I wasnt feeling well to begin with. I arrived 3:30. As I sat down, Dr. Masaba left. Im not sure what is the point of her having evening appointments when she can just leave when she's ready. Even the front desk (whom one of them was very kind and helpful-- wish I knew her name but she look kinda hispanic) acknowledged that this is an issue they encounter with her regularly. People make their appointment based on their availability as well it just seems unfair and cold; like she doesnt care about her patients at all when she wants to go she just goes. This is not the first instance this has happened. I will be there early tomorrow since its a little last minute to find a doctor (and I truly wasnt trying to pay $50+ at urgent care) and after I will be finding a new doctor. Dragged my sick self out the house for nothing and will have to do the same. After my Sunday appointment I will be finding a new pcp. Anyone looking to book with Dr Grace Masaba just know you will have to schedule your appointments before 3 or she will leave.
Incredibly rude and unprofessional admin person. The customer service was nonexistent and I understand why this place is rated so low.
