Dr. Capeci ruined my life more or less. I had a hip replacement done about 2 years ago, and I've had problems right from the start. I had horrible pain and numbness in my leg and rear end ever since. All he could do is direct me to a neurologist. After all kinds of tests I was told I have permanent nerve damage that may or may not heal. At this point all the neurologist has me doing is popping tons of a psyche meds with gabapentin daily. I can't sleep or work without feeling pain and discomfort constantly! It's a horrible existence and the psyche meds are also messing with my head and relationship with my husband. I don't know what I am going to do at this point? 2 years after my hip replacement and I have to deal with it 24/7! Stay clear of this guy. I wouldn't wish this agony on my worst enemy! ;(

Dr. Capeci explains your procedure carefully and is "always" available after surgery to answer concerns and adjust med's as needed. Very caring Physician!!!

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Capeci to my friends and family, as I already have. I had a total hip replacement 3 months ago (I am a professional dancer and had very severe osteo-arthritis) and am very happy I chose Dr. Capeci as my surgeon. Super knowledgeable, direct and professional, top notch!

After dragging a bum hip around for six months, Dr. Capeci and his team put in a shiny new one. The pain was gone immediately and the soreness faded over a couple weeks. But best, I am back to working out, I walk without a limp and without pain. As far as I want to walk, and as quickly as I want to walk (I missed that so much). Dr. Capeci answered all my pre-op questions fully and clearly. He is a gentleman with an ocean of knowledge and skill. Mad skill! You are in excellent and capable hands.

Second time I write this review and it doesn’t go thru. The reviews I read about dr Capeci are very far from my personal experience.. the guy is rude, cold, cocky, non compassionate and doesn’t care about connecting with the human being it’s putting their lives in his hands, first appt I saw him 3 minutes, 2 minutes before surgery’s and 4 minutes 2 days after surgery . He walked into my hospital room without knocking or announcing himself at 6 o clock in the am while I was in pain all night and finally fall sleep like a movie star I should’ve been so grateful of his presence.. don’t know why everything I said makes Him laugh, I Mentioned the pain medicine wasn’t working and was giving me nauseas and headache, I couldn’t eat because of a severe stomach pain, he said he knows nothing about pain medication, I mentioned my blood pressure been extreme low 93/ 47 .. didn’t make any comments, didn’t look at my chart.. he make my experience very painful, impersonal and careless .. I felt he treated t me like a piece a chicken at the supermarket waiting to be chop and sale, no connection, no compassion, no care about my concerns or pain . There are great orthopedic surgeon in nyc, I Pick him based on the reviews about his bedsides manners for me he gets -0, personality-0, humanity -0, caring-0 .. I can’t review him as a surgeon because it’s only been 3 days since my surgery but the pain I’m going thru I make him responsible for his lack of interest .. I don’t know if the people that review him as the greatest were lying or I just got unlucky with him .. either way I will not recommend him to anybody .. very disappointed at you mr Craig capeci if you don’t have compassion or humanity toward the people that trust their health in your hands, trust me life will teach you lessons you need to Learn

Dr. Capeci is one of the nicest and knowledgeable Doctors I have met and explained to me my problem and eventually I had two Hip Replacements one a year apart and was Happy with the end results and everything in between. I could not have asked for a Better Doctor or Better Results with my Surgery. I trust him and believe in him and sometimes even discuss other problems which I have which is not associated with his major field because he tells me the truth and guides me in the right direction. He has never pushed an operation on me but advised me to look out for signs as he told me " I will know when it is time to come in for Surgery" and that my body and pain increase will tell me when it is time to do something and that is exactly what happened and when it did I called and told him I was ready and we had the procedure and a year later we had the other procedure and that took care of my hips. I was playing golf after the second hip replacement healed and I have been happy every since
