Dr. David K. Avram's Online Review Report Card

Dr Avram is the best dermatologist I have been to! I’ve seen other derms and he was the only one able to help me successfully clear up acne and scars I’ve struggled with for years. I’ve started laser treatment with him and it has been working very well. He makes sure to prep my skin and make it as painless as possible and sends me home with everything I need to avoid any inflammation or discomfort. The staff is also very friendly and helpful and I’ve never had to wait too long. I definitely recommend him!

I made appointment with D.Avram 3 weeks ahead of time. upon arrival I was told I was not scheduled yet even though I was miraculously already on the system. They let me wait not too long to see the doctor but doc was not attentive to what I had to say about my skin condition. I am dealing with this skin condition over 6 years now and I really hoped to find a doctor that would listen closer to what I am saying. He prescribed me cortisone cream that irritated my skin even more ! And it was supposed to be safe. Give me a break about safe medication when it comes to chronic, auto-immune diseases! There are supplements that I take made from natural ingredients that help my immunity and hence skin condition like nothing else and he had not even heard of it or was interested to learn. I am a freelancer and at the moment have no insurance so the visit and cream cost me 500$. Did the doc’s office not have a sample that I had to pay hundreds more to get a giant tube of it? Also, when I called next day, the secretary (is she even qualified to converse with me about doc’s prescription!?) made me feel like it is my fault that doc’s prescription made my flare-up even worse - victim shaming and no kindness at all. Doctor was supposed to call me back he never did. I am writing this because I have had enough of the system when you get to take advantage of without help! My intuition tells me more than studying for years to only become a salesman for pharmaceutical companies. ~Justyna

This office was a disaster from the moment i checked in. The receptionist was arguing with someone on Facetime. Didnt say hello or anything. Took my insurance card and handed it back to me. When i asked if she needed anything else, she said "sit down". Called into the room (wait was not long) and the medical assistant asked questions about why i was there. The doctor came in and diagnosed me. They wrote it on piece of paper and sent me on my way. I tried asking the receptionist on my way out of i should schedule a follow up. She literally said "i dont know" and proceeded to text someone. I just couldnt believe it. I googled my diagnosis when i got home and learned how serious it was. I'm so disappointed he let me leave without giving me an idea or explaining it properly. I ended up seeing another doctor.

Dr Avram is the best dermatologist I’ve ever been to. I’ve suffered with acne and acne scars my entire life. Dr. Avram came up with a great treatment plan to cure my acne and make my face beautiful again. His office and staff are amazing!! If you’re looking for a great dermatologist in nyc or Brooklyn I would definitely say come to his office

great bedside manner.he had to take a spot off my chest that could have caused a lot of trouble.the procedure was 100% painless and every thing came out fine.i could not say enough good about dr.avrum and his staff.thank you George heney

Dr. Avram is highly professional, very helpful, and respectful. I highly recommend him!

Im giving them 1 star only because Zero stars is not possible. I visited this office for the first time on a Thursday. The Doc gave me a Rx but the nurse was way to stupid and to properly send my Rx to the Pharmacy. So as a result the pharmacy did not have my order. I found this out Friday after wasting my time waiting for my turn on line. I called the office Saturday AM (they were already closed Friday afternoon) and complained. The receptionist got upset with me cause she felt like it was too early in the morning for me to be mad and hung up in me. Please save your time and go to a medical establishment where the staff is professional and competent. IM NEVER GOING BY BACK TO THIS OFFICE AGAIN.

Great office, great doctor! Very busy office but efficient and everyone was so nice. I don't look forward to going to doctors appointments but I will look forward to going back there for annual exams.

Jan-mid May the Dr gave me costly meditations for a SEVERE problem he could not diognois, FOUR MONTHS my situation ate through both legs continuing towards my arm. I then went to Weill Cornell Hosp and ONE WEEK later determined to have an Extremely Severe case of Pyroderma which took 17 weeks of treatment to control. D. Avram is a nice guy but he wasted my time, took my Medicare money and left me with severe, PERMANENT scarring of my body. IF he done ADEQUATE research in diognois of my problem in a timely manner, instead of months of 'treating what you don't know what I have'. I would recommend him.... But I Can NOT and Will NOT!! 😣
