The whole process went smoothly, the staff are nice and respectful

Starting with that I am grateful for my mom's stay here at Hopkins. We had quite a few bumps along the way but managed . Samara the social worker I give her 5 stars,Carol thompson aide, Ms.McPherson 4 stars Pierre the aide. Special thank you to teddy the PT and lochran OT amazing work with my mom. Ms. Morales MD representative she was amazing. Thank you to Ms Kennedy she was very supportive as well. Dr.bassett for his patience,and care . Fatima and many more who were really great with my mom. Reception area all were very very nice. Security as well. Richard nursing supervisor special thank you. Jennifer recreation she is phenomenal. Mr Dixon ,Tristan Lopez special thank you. Pierre Aide special Tamara and Terry the nurse was amazing with my mom. There were a few more but maybe forgot some names. Thank you Hopkins

Friendly atmosphere, kind and courteous personnel on staff and Staff answer questions that I asked

I warn everyone against admitting yourself or your loved one into Hopkins Center. My friend (I am her health proxy) suffered nightmarish indignities there including being left alone for over an hour in her own waste, being stripped of her clothes for a week while they were being labeled, which left her confined to her room with no access to physical therapy or recreational activities until her clothes were returned, and disregarding the urgent, timely administration of her medications. While under their care, she experienced miniature strokes and was laughed at and dismissed by the staff there, ultimately needing to go to the ER from which point she never returned to Hopkins Center. Her human dignity was consistently and completely disregarded by the staff and administration at Hopkins Center. Nobody should be treated the way they treated her.

Addendum: Hopkins Center publicly replied to this review feigning concern and asking for me to call them to address these matters. Before posting this and my Yelp review, I had called them many times and emailed them with an explicit list of my friend’s horrible experience at their facility. I have had no response. Further, they have my name and contact information on record as I am the official health proxy for their former client. They could have called me and tried to remedy the situation for my friend while she was still there. They do not care. Please beware of this place. There are many other sub-acute rehab places in the city—choose a different one.

We wanted to take a moment to truly thank Hopkins Rehab for helping my brother in law. Every single department made a positive impact & we believe every department needs their personal recognition. Nurisng - Ms. Francis the Unit Manager is an outstanding Nurse. She was very thorough, professional, and her impeccable communication skills were pretty impressive. To his daily CNA'S who truly cared for him Ms. Scantlebury, Ms. Clark, Ms. Wilson Stewart and Ms. Larose. To the rest of the daily nursing staff - Ms. Street and Ms. Watt, Ms. Thomas. The Social Work Department - Jessica Alvarez and Davia Brito were very helpful, detailed, very responsive, and tremendously assisted us with the overall discharge transition. Dietitian- Marissa Schriver was also very helpful with communicating his meal preferences to the dietary staff. In addition, the Rehab Staff were phenomenal! The Director of Rehab Ramos Aiko, Alex Guiller- PT/OT Supervisor, Justin Gaviola PT, Annery Elliazer PT, Ben Tan OT have all been incredible. They have been very involved during family meetings and provided updates on his overall functional status, goals, etc. & of course last but certainly not least Ari the facility Administrator has been great to work with. As soon as my brother in law arrived he personally checked on him, introduced himself, and provided the family with assurance of his adjustment. We all sincerely appreciate all that Hopkins has done during this difficult time. Would always recommend Hopkins Rehabilitation to family and friends!

My stay at Hopkins Center was wonderful. All of the nursing staff were caring and supportive. They let you know what medications you were taking and about every procedure they had to do to you. The doctors saw you every day and they followed your care. I can’t say enough about the CNA’s and the physical therapist in the facility. Patient’s didn’t have to wait a long time before someone came to them to take care of their needs. I have a special shout out for CNA’s - Ms Miller, Ms Walters, Ms Clark, Ms Pratt, Ms Lopez, Ms Thompson and Ms Lyght. My shout out for PT/OT are Teddy, Addi, Justin, Michelle, Claudette and their whole staff. They get you to where you need to be and they make it fun. I only gave the facility Four stars because cause of dietary. Many days I would have to buy my own food through uber eats or seamless or one of the apps because of what they sent to me. Examples: one small sausage link with one mini muffin with a half cup of coffee or water ( not hot ) cereal and juice, milk and tell a grown person that your breakfast. Thank God for fine dining where those who could would go into the dining room and were served lunch because that was the best meal of the day. Dinner was a hit or miss on any given day. I would still recommend anyone to go there for care but they should have a way of getting decent food when the meal is not what you expect. The dietitian Marisa try to correct these concerns as they come up but she can’t check every tray before they leave the kitchen. And I almost forgot Jennifer was organize all recreation exceptionally. And thumbs up for house keeping Eddie. OMG I can’t believe that I forgot to mention Benn in OT who makes you laugh and smile whether you were his resident or not. I have to stop re-reading my review because I keep remembering people I didn’t mention like nurses Ms Jones and Fatima and supervisor Mr Dixon.
