She repeatedly told my best friends little sister that she was fat and threatened to tell her parents that she was pregnant because she gained weight. She was not pregnant and she was only 14 years old. According to NY State laws this lady violated HIPAA and failed to protect her patients confidentiality.

My little sister who is 15 years old went for a visit because of stomach pains. The doctor told her that she is either depressed Or pregnant and will test her and find out so she should come clean. Pressured my sister to admit one or the other and out of fear my sister said sure depressed and then told our mom my sister was depressed. She also said to my sister to smile more and that there is nothing to be depressed about because she has good grades. Also that if she eats less would lose weight which is good for her. Even if she was depressed, did not recommend any sort of therapist or treatment just told our mom. My sister called my crying after what just happened. After this visit switched doctors because this doctor breaks all the code of ethics doctor swear upon and accused my sister of these false accusations. Imagine how many other children were scarred by this doctor who stayed silence. She should lose her license to practice and I will make sure she gets investigated.

Made false accusations and didnt recommend services for help. Claimed my sister was depressed or pregnant when she was neither and that she will find out by testing her and will tell our mother. She made my sister admit she was depressed if she was not pregnant and then told our mom my sister is depressed but didn’t offer any recommendations. Also said to smile more, lose weight and that there is nothing to be depressed about because of good grades. The nurse there as well was downplaying her symptoms making rude remarks. My sister called me crying about what happened. Mind you my sister is only 15 years old! Imagine the trauma this leaves on a child. Switched to a different doctor because this doctor is breaking their code of ethics and should lose their license to practice. Imagine all the other kids who have gone through this silently. Awful stay away from her.

Dr. Masub is an excellent pediatrician. I am very happy that she is the physician of my four year old son. She is very knowledgeable, experienced, loving and caring.
