Dr. Israel Kochin, will text you asking how your child is doing after office visit, and then charge your insurance for "televisit". That seems very shady to me,, he wouldn't tell you i advance that your insurance will be billed for his texts. And you'll have to pay the difference if your insurance didn't cover the "televisit" in full

Please beware, Dr. Israel Kochin will text you after your child's office visit asking how your child is doing. You text him back, then he will charge your insurance as a "televisit", you'll have to pay the difference that your insurance didn't cover. So Dr. Israel Kochin charged our insurance for six "televisits" which were actually text messages that he started and never warned us that these text will be billed to our insurance as a televisit. And when we wre leaving the office the receptionist said "you have to pay co-pay", I said "no, my insurance don't have a co-pay". Then they checked my policy and said yes, you don't have a co-pay. Never again, Dr. Kochin

YOUNG MOTHER COME TO HIM FOR HELP AND WAS TURNED DOWN BECAUSE SHE WAS A FEW MINUTES LATE FOR HIS APPOINTMENT. NO RESPECT OR UNDERSTANDING THAT SOMETIMES PEOPLE ARE RUNNING LATE BECAUSE THE CHILD IS SICK AND MOTHERS HAVE TO STOP IN ORDER TO GIVE HELP TO THE CHILD. HE LEFT HER WITH SICK CHILD IN THE OFFICE SAYING HIS DAY IS OVER AND HE DID SEE HIS LAST APPOINTMENT. HE SHOULD NOT BE ALOUD TO HELP CHILDREN. WHEN BECOMING A DR. HE TOOK AN AOTH TO HELP SICK PEOPLE, WHEN THEY DO HAVE INSURANCE OR NOT ( THAT YOUNG MOTHER DID HAVE AN INSURANCE ) OR IF THE PERSON IS HOMELESS... I WOULD THINK TWICE IF THIS IS THE KIND OF DR. SHOULD BE TREATING US OR BETTER YET OUR CHILDREN.

Dr. Kochin is a very kind and caring doctor for children. He takes the time and does his research. He calls you back quickly and is genuinely concerned with finding out what is wrong in the least invasive way possible. He's also great at trying to help patients save money with coupons for prescriptions.
