Martin Zonenshayn's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Zonenshayn operated on me about a year ago after a severe spinal abscess and sepsis brought me to Methodist Hospital via ambulance and I needed emergency surgery. He helped save my life but I am still dealing with the after effects of the callous care I received afterwards from Dr Zonenshayn and his fellows, who accused me repeatedly of “refusing to walk” and instructed the physical therapists to only get me up and walking, not to do any strengthening exercises that would have actually gotten me prepared to sit upright and bear weight on my legs and lower body. They barely spoke with me or listened to my concerns so by the time I left the hospital a month later, I still couldn’t even sit up. I’m a relatively young, active person and just needed to build strength, but I spent 30 days in a subacute rehab. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone if they had a choice; when we tried to book a follow-up, it was impossible to reach him or schedule an appointment. Steer clear!

Stay away from this doctor.He did suing my back and I didn’t get any better.Because he messed something up during the surgery,I needed the second surgery to relieve my pain.So I went to different doctor and I felt better right after surgery.Dr.Zonenshyan is extremely nice in the office,but don’t get fooled by it, because you let him operate on you and than you don’t see him for a month,even though you are having problems and it’s almost impossible to get him on the phone as well.And the Methodist hospital where he does the surgery it’s a complete disaster!

I went to him for second opinion for my excruciating back pain.He was extremely nice,don’t a lot of with me answering all my questions and going over the surgery he was going to do on my lower back.So I decided to let him do my surgery.And it turned out it was the biggest mistake I made.The surgery didn’t go well for whatever reason and I woke up exactly with same pain.He told me after surgery it might take some time to get rid of the pain.And here all that disaster began.You can’t see the doctor for4 weeks after surgery you can’t even get him on the phone.Because his surgery do not work ,a month later he offered second surgery,and again he is very nice in the office.I did not want to mess around with my back ,and I went to different doctor in Manhattan and he did my second surgery.Dont get fooled by Dr.Zonenshyan excellent bedside manner and don’t let him do your surgery .

Dr. Zonenshayn is a lovely man - very kind, patient and thorough. He didn't help me - I was baffled when he referred me to another neurologist, who fifth-rate and as helpful as a wart. I would have thought Dr. Zonenshayn would have the answers - but my condition is exceptional and I can't fault him - he did his best. I would recommend him, my experience notwithstanding.

Just got back from the hospital where i had an appointment with this doctor.Never got a chance to see him cause his staff messed up big time.They made the appointment for me last month and of course they knee i had fidelis.Went there and they told me he cant see me cause he doesnt accept fidelis.Really stupid staff he has i tell you!

BEST DR EVER..SO KIND..PLEASURE HAVING HIM AS MY DR!!..HONESTLY B4 he said a word to me he SMILED..that was a GREAT SIGN FOR ME!!..Rite Away I KNEW I WAS DEALING WITH A HUMAN BEING...Someone with compassion for his Patient!!.. I’m 43 and I’ve dealt with different doctors throughout my life!!..NEVER EVER SEEN SO MUCH CARE ABOUT MY SITUATION!!..HE KNEW I WAS N PAIN AND HE JUST WANTED TO FIX ME!!..AND HE DID!!..I AM FOREVER GREATFUL TO HIM!!????????????????

Surly staff, most unhelpful and offhand, curt and I can only think are a reflection of this overblown ego - an APPENDAGE if you will. STAND CLEAR OF THIS LOT!
