My experience at this hospital was by far the worst. I see nothing has changed, never have I experienced such poor care in a hospital until I unfortunately ended up being taken here. In February of 2022 I was non-verbal and bed bound these nurses didn't care to try and assist me to make my stay a comfortable and pleasant one. They were rude, no bedside manner and did not care. They gave my daughter a hard time when she tried to visit. I was there several days before they would let her come visit. I was elated when they transferred me back to the Rehabilitation Center just as long as I was out of that place. Horrible!
Great hospital

This is not my first choice in hospitals but unfortunately it is where my mom was taken. The ER RN's were snippy, and seemed irritated. My mom had a brief hospital stay twice here. First time was worse then the second time. The RN's in the unit are all young, all they did was sit and look at their computer screen. These are not the RN's I remember from back in the day when they did more than just sit on the butts all day and maybe push a med or two. CO VID i am sure gave them a raise and BIG ONE an now they have less and less to do or want to do. Do not try and call the Nursing Station since the phone will just ring and ring. I asked to speak to my mom's DR each and everyday which was a total of three days with no response.
I see a lot of bad rating which are understandable but no hospital is perfect. I have to say that the people in the ICU department are some of the most amazing nurses/staff I have ever encountered. They are extremely caring and pay attention to detail. Although the ER was not the most pleasurable experience, I don’t think any ER can be perfect. Some hospitals are absolutely terrible compared to this one. I’m thankful for the nurses in the ICU for being genuine humans…
HORRIBLE HOSPITAL. UNDERSTAFFED. DO NOT EVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! HOSPITAL AND DOCTORS SHOULD AND WILL BE INVESTIGATED FOR MEDICAL MALPRACTICE!!! ROMAN FROM PATIENT REPRESENTATIVES IS A LYING SCUM WHO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS. SEE YOU IN COURT :)
The reviews are definitely accurate I went there myself and I am ashamed. For a Private owned hospital Mount Sinai sure has lots of work to do. The hospital is definitely understaffed and needs more workers. It needs to be renovated and updated. The Emergency room was by far the worst one I saw out of all the emergency rooms I’ve been too, they had beds in the halls ways patients waiting hours up 3 just to be seen by a nurse nurses not using gloves. My overall experience was not great I left after 3 hours without seeing anyone because I couldn’t take the wait anymore they had me sitting in the waiting area for 3 hours to be seen.
This horrible sickness stresses me out anytime I have an outbreak well, I am very happy to have a normal life again since I met Drogwuherbal who pulled me out of this bondage, I was searching for a cure on the internet when I found out about this Doctor on a lady post that she was cured by him. I emailed him for help and explained everything to him, then I was told by him there was a cure for HSV 2 and I was so happy deep inside my heart He sent me some medication which I took for two weeks after which I went for a test and my result came out negative to every person suffering from illness of any kind I would advise you to contact him via https://herbalistogwuherbalcure.weebly.com or WhatsApp at https://wa.me/+2348117527686. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100088573303532&mibextid=ZbWKwL
If I could give mount Sinai Brooklyn 0 stars, I absolutely would! My partner recently had surgery here, and the disorganization and lack of professionalism was astounding. In addition, they failed to give me any updates and ignored my existence the entire time I waited there. Even when I was in the recovery room with my partner, the staff would not speak to me. In addition, weeks before the surgery, my partner was given a booklet with the steps the hospital would take as part of his recovery before being discharged. The staff completed none of the physical therapy or steps outlined in the booklet. The waiting room was filthy, and the nurses would come in and take breaks, propping up their feet on the chairs. I would never have anything done there again and recommend if you have any other option, you go elsewhere
As hospitals go, it's not terrible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
