List of Newyork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital Center For Community Health's Reviews
The best doctor visit I have ever had. Everyone, from the first person to the last, was so incredibly nice, caring, and helpful. Very much appreciated the attentiveness if all the staff at this medical center.
Had an appointment and script from my doctor for imaging here. I attempted to check-in at the tablets but my information wasn't found so an employee wrote my name down on a post-it and handed it over to reception to put me in the system. My name went into a bigger pile of post-its as I saw about 50% of the people coming into the building also not having their appointments found and we all had to wait in the lobby, not even allowed to enter the floor where our appointments were. I waited 30 minutes for my appointment to be verified, even though I had my printed script and appointment. Frustrating to know that I had everything set up with my doctor already and yet my name was to be tossed in with the other post-it notes and the poor receptionist had to manually enter everybody for check-in. Every person who worked here was nice and didn't seem to do anything wrong - they were doing the best with this faulty check-in system. It was really upsetting to not be allowed into the building, be 40 minutes late for my imagining because of the lobby issues, then to wait again inside the imagining office.
Great service
My son had a surgery at CCH. We had nothing but positive experience. Child life specialist was able to speak to my son prior to surgery, explained the process and what to expect during surgery appropriately to his age, showed some pictures of the operating room on the ipad, which decreased his anxiety and fear of unknown. The operating room staff was extremely professional and pleasant as well as recovery room team. I’d definitely recommend this place to my family and friends.
If your on BUCKLEY 5, you are the luckiest person. The doctors and nurses are phenomenal professional knowledgeable courteous compassionate and caring. I was there twice. Once before my ablation, and once after. There was a hematoma where the incision was. The BEST care you can get. A nurse is always there for your concerns or medication needs. Dr. Reddy and Dr. Haq are the greatest. Everyone's magnificent!
SNEAKY, LYING, NASTY, ILLEGAL and DISGUSTING DENTAL. The dental clinic here goes by Brooklyn Dental Medicine. I went there about 4 years ago and they told me I needed a special kind of filling. I said OK, if the insurance covers it. They said it did. I asked them 3 more times during my visit if they were SURE this was covered. They insisted it was. It was not. They sent me bill after bill, threatened me with a collection agency several times and I'm sure they called that landline of mine that I unplugged from the wall because... I had been diagnosed with cancer by then. So their whining was even more annoying. I had file to for bankruptcy on account of huge medical bills and I included sneaky nasty lying Brooklyn Dental Medicine. It is illegal to try to collect a debt when you have been named in a bankruptcy. Then the debt was discharged over a year ago and TO THIS DAY, these douchebags are still ILLEGALLY sending me bills. I have faxed and called and they still do it. One more and I will go back to the judge, maybe sue them for harassment.
The Emergency Room where I spent the first 36 hours was like Dante's 5th circle of Hell. IT would have taken so little to make it significantly better: writing down the name of the doctor and nurse in charge so patients and other staff could see who to contact instead of rushing by,, replacing the curtains- bed 24 had a perfect view of bed 19 using the bedpan, and although they brought out a portable screen, they didn't bother opening it. The nurse cut up my favorite Lands End dress because she didn't want to wait for the doctor (as an EMT I have no issue with cutting off clothing, but this was not a life or death emergency.) And I had to wait 3 hours after they said I was going to the CAT scan to decide that my Parkinson's tremors were too strong to get an image. (My neurologist incredulously asked, "there were too many tremors in your abdomen?") So I had to go in twice through the ER. Upstairs it was a different story. The nursing staff was unfailingly cheerful, the doctors were perfectly competent. My biggest issue was that I was awakened every 6 hours to get my vitals, which meant that I could not get into healing deep REM sleep. We left on foot because it was 1-3 hours for someone to transport us by wheelchair,My last stay was with Weil Cornell, a member of the same network, which treats patients like competent human beings Here the triage nurse suggested that my clearly identified right lower quadrant pain was coming from the pancreas, which resides elsewhere. It doesn't givie you much confidence when staff can't understand basic anatomy.
Why all this bad reviews, they are very nice, educated and polite. They care me when I got pneumonia, I was very scared and the nurse been by my side all the time, I am very thankfully with the nurse for that. Food is good even though it's hospital food. They're very professionals and doctors have all the patience of world

We are very disappointed. Staff in ICU were not upfront about updated visitor policy for a TBI patient. Security just told us on the way in "nursing staff only said visitors were allowed to keep us happy." Someones not truthful!!!!!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
