Dr. Mekles has been very vital to my success in managing my mental health issues and stabilization. Dr. Mekles has been prodding me and challenged me to get a job (P/T or even volunteering) so I can feel more confident; work is very helpful to success in managing mental illness - with structure being the best medicine. I did find a PAYING job and Dr. Mekles is very supportive and shows real interest. With Dr. Mekles - I'm able to taper my benzodiazepine slowly - with lots of support from the doctor. He's very patient and is very understanding and knowledgeable about withdrawal symptoms. He didn't push me - but prodded me to do this vital step The secretary is very helpful. She answers text messages immediately - to assist with medication renewal requests and appointment changes - when needed. Very professional indeed Medication management is the best I've ever had and he tries his best to keep my med count to a minimal level. I highly recommend Dr. Mekles - and thank you very much.

To get help: Too much paperwork ... over phone with secretary ... you have no idea with who she/he is. No psychiatrists there at all. So no Doctors ... nurse practitioners. And they don't have much experience. If they do it doesn't show.

I met Dr Mekles last summer with a lot of very serious issues. He is kind and confident. But I came from experiences with other doctors that were not a good fit. I realized he is good. I was in fight mode and a real jerk at times. He has seen how to handle me eventually, and I realized what my problem is. I always thought I was like answering Pi. So do feel respected. I would try his firm. See if it works for you.

Feeling depressed over the years due to pandemic and life events Dr Jonathan Rubenstein is absolutely the best licensed professional to talk to when it comes to your mental wellness. The entire staff are very helpful and easy to reach be it on the phone , text or email. The payment process is very quick and simple they take most major health insurance . I've been seeing Dr Rubenstein for almost two years and the result of my mental being is excellent ! The great thing about NYC Psychiatric Associates they do video appointments so I don't miss work at all. Seeing Dr Rubenstein keeps me on track and motivates me to focus on what's important. I encourage those who needs mental wellness check to try and see it for yourself .

Dr Glover is very attentive and show tremendous care and patience. Glad to have found him.

Staff are very good with responding in a timely matter to my concerns and appointment. So convenient to make appointments with simple text messages. Very professional and kind doctors as well.

Dr. Meyerovich and I were not a match, to be honest, I didn't find his approach helpful but others might. That said, his colleague reached out and helped me find another doc to try at their practice and they set it up right away. I believe this group is trying to the right thing especially since psychiatrists who take insurance are rare in NYC. Hoping the second doc is a better fit.

I met with Dr. David Willey today. In NYC it is insanely difficult to get an appointment. I had low expectations going in. Oh my god how wrong I was. I have had multiple therapists, psychiatrists and other types of doctors. Some good some bad. I have never felt so comfortable or listened to in my life by a doctor. It's like he knew me for years. He treated me with kindness, understanding empathy and respect and I am thrilled I found him and look forward to future appointments. I am really excited that I found someone who can help me.
