Dr. Boriello performed my hernia surgery on June 3rd 2022. Ever since i feel good. He saved my life after months of my previous fibroid surgery. Thank you so much dr. Boriello for doing a great job. The nurses, the anesthesiologist are very nice. Thanj you to them too.

In a surgeon, I care most about their surgical skills; Dr. Borrielo receives 5 stars as a surgeon. I also need to have my concerns, needs, and preferences heard; Dr. Borrielo listened. He additionally paid attention and incorporated the information I provided about what I believed was going on in my body; Again, 5 stars. Ease of appointment making and office personnel's ability to problem solve .... well maybe if I had to make regular appointments the difficulty with doing so would affect my rating. In the context of being my surgeon who performed a bilateral, inguinal, hernia repair as a non-elective procedure and who I met with a total of 3 times, it is not on my radar to include appointment scheduling ease or office wait times as anything other than incidentals. (The fact that my primary care physician works 9 - 5, Monday through Saturday and on federal holidays, IS an important rating determinant.) Although I think that they should be secondary considerations for a surgeon, it should be noted that Dr. Borrielo is charming, has a good sense of humor and a reassuring presence, and is just totally likable. Although I hope I will not need another general surgeon, I would certainly return to Dr. Borrielo in the event that he had the required specialization/expertise and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a general surgeon.

This doctor was horrible!!!! He was cocky and very Sarcastic to me and my mom. We went to him for Pain that my mom was experiencing for months and he played it off like it was all in her head and that what she was experiencing was not there. I told him I as a daughter have witnessed few times how painful the area was and how she would cry and how our primary care doctor has referred us to a surgeon to remove the area. However he did not listen even when I talk he said I can't do anything for you and he basically walked out I've never been so upset in my life with a doctor like this. There are doctors that really care about their patient and doctors who don't.

I am a lifelong multi instrumentalist composer and performer who owes his ability to perform and create to Dr. Raffaele Borriello. I had been diagnosed with an aggressive sarcoma on my left tricep that not only threatened my ability to play but also my very life. Once I met the good Doctor I was immediately at ease. In the weeks before surgery we met often and discussed test results as he examined my arm over and over again. He stated that he had many times looked at the tests to plan out the strategy to keep me playing. I played a video of a composition on guitar I had created for the Billion Oyster Project here in NYC 's harbor. I explained that I wanted to keep doing this and can he help me to continue to play? He said he would do his very best. He not only did his very best what he did was miraculous! I was home the next day after the surgery minus the cancerous tricep but with 100% of my nerve sensitivity and muscle ability of my left arm, wrist and fingers! Two days after the surgery I amazed my wife by making breakfast. The skills of his team, staff and fellow surgeons and their loving care are forever an integral part of my fingers as they continue to dance with joy and create beauty. Dr Barriello is an excellent surgeon he removed my Gallbladder a week ago an Nov 29, 2021 . I feel better today . Very nice doctor you feel very comfortable talking to him . Dr. Borriello performed a core biopsy on me with only minor discomfort. He explains everything in plain language and answers all questions. He delivered less than ideal news in a gentle yet straightforward manner. He has a great way about him and same for his nurse, Ryan.

Dr. Borriello removed part of my stomach in response to some recurring precancerous growths. The growths’ location was tricky, and Dr. Borriello walked me through what he was going to do and why. He was knowledgeable and had the confidence to chose the less glamorous approach because it was safer and more likely to have a better result. The surgery was successful, with no leakage. I would recommended him highly. He also is unexpectedly wry, which I appreciate.

Excellent I don’t know what I do without him he been my surgeon since 2014 and always there for my needs also his staff especially Paulina. Kind and comforting. I was lucky that Dr. Borriello was on call the Saturday I was brought to the emergency room. He's a skilled surgeon who saved my life. I am forever grateful.
