Dr.Kadiyala is an amazing doctor. My concerns were automatically addressed with kindness and care for my condition. After years of misdiagnosis from other doctors Dr.Kadiyala was able to fix my carpal tunnel in a few week. I would recommend him to anyone I know.

My mother used to go to Dr Kadiyala when he practiced in Miami. Since he moved to NYC (where I live), she flies to see him for her hand troubles. She refuses to go to any other hand surgeon! And I promise, it’s NOT just an excuse to visit me! I couldn’t understand why she didn’t just find another doctor in Miami. But once I met Dr. Kadiyala, I completely understood my mother’s loyalty to him. He has a beautiful, gentle bedside manner. He is bright and curious. He explained everything to her in a way that she could understand. His surgical skills were top notch and she has recovered beautifully. We love this doctor and are so grateful to him for his wonderful combination of technical skills + interpersonal skills. You won’t be disappointed by this physician.

I don’t usually write reviews for doctors because I feel that people often unfairly malign them for things they can't control, but I’m so unhappy with Dr. Kadiyala's care that I feel compelled to do so. I went to him for a mallet finger. I had been diagnosed in the ER and was given a splint there, but the ER doc suggested I go to an orthopedist to get a better split I could wear more comfortably for the 6-8 weeks it would take to straighten my finger. So, all I needed was a proper splint, which is what I told them when I made the appointment and when I saw the receptionist and when I saw the nurse. Nevertheless, Columbia Presbyterian insisted that I have a new set of X-rays (I told them there was no fracture as per the x-rays taken at the ER). After X-rays I waited quite a while and finally was brought in. The nurse tried to type information into the computer but she didn’t really know how to type so it took forever. Finally I saw Dr. Kadiyala. He looked at my x-ray and confirmed what I already knew. He looked at my finger for a few seconds and told me I had a mallet finger. He then told me that it happens easily to people “like us” who are old (I’m in my 50s, but don’t care to be judged for my age). After the 1 minute visit, he told me someone would be with me shortly to give me a splint. Long story short, the OT gave me a custom splint and told me I would only have to pay $35 (they charged my insurance company hundreds and then billed me a little more when the company didn’t pay enough). Three and a half hours after I arrived, I left the hospital with a custom splint that didn’t work. It slid all over the place and didn’t keep my finger straight. On the next visit, he decided to cut up a regular splint (you know, the kind you get at the drug store) and rig with tape to sit on top of my finger. It was so painful, I had to move it to the bottom and it continued to slide around and not keep my finger straight. Finally I bought a different splint on Amazon that worked better, but not that well. On the third visit, when he again mentioned my being old, he looked at my finger which was only about 50% corrected and told me that’s as good as it’s going to get. I should wear yet another splint he would give me part time and wean myself off. When I saw the splint, I realized that was finally (about 8 weeks later) the right kind and I asked him why he didn’t give me that in the first place. He said he “probably didn’t have one to give me.” What, so instead of ordering the right splint or telling me to go online he has an expensive custom splint made that doesn’t work? He gave me one of the new splints that was clearly too small and said the next size up would be too big. It was incredibly painful squeezing my finger and sticking out really far because my finger wouldn’t go in all the way. So I went on Amazon again and found that exact splint for about 6 bucks and ordered a size up. I put a little paper towel around my finger so it fits snugly. Needless to say I have cancelled my next appointment and my finger is now about 90% better. I’ll wear this Amazon splint a little longer to see if I can get it to 100%. In any case, it’s a lot better than living with a skeevy, bent finger for the rest of my life as he wanted me to do (and never asked if I minded). Oh, and did I mention that he cancelled appointments on me three times?

Dr. Kadiyala is a man of extreme integrity, empathy, and curiosity. You can tell that he knows so much because he is not afraid to be surprised by something new. For example, a not so great doctor will try to pigeon-hole your diagnosis into something final. Dr. Kadiyala is nothing of the sort. He is the Captain Kirk of Orthopedic Surgery. He is willing to push the limits of his own knowledge and set the course, even if it means he must decline to operate. He sets the standard for medical ethics.

An outstanding and caring surgeon with good humor, warmth, tremendous expertise, and a confidence inspiring relationship with his patients. Wonderful office staff and nurses as well. Than you Dr. Kadiyala for your wonderful service!

Very efficient process from xray to check-in to expert clinical opinion. Dr. Kadiyala examined my hand, showed me what he was seeing on the xray and explained my condition, timeframe for healing and what i could do to hasten it. Very satisfied.

Dr Kadiyala takes as much time as you need in understanding what he is telling you. He properly diagnosed my shoulder issue and prescribed a treatment which was effective. He follows up and stays in touch to make sure everything is going well. I highly recommend him.
