Dr. Setton is amazing! He is kind, caring and empathetic. He listened to all my concerns and was willing to change course/treatment throughout my IVF journey. I can't thank him and his team (Valerie and Catherine) enough. I am now pregnant with my first child. I highly recommend Dr. Setton and SGF!

Dr Setton was amazing!!! I can’t thank him enough for everything he has done. He was very professional and informative and never made me feel like something was wrong with me. He never made me feel like a number but like an actual human being with feelings. Very down to earth and simply just amazing!

Dr. Setton and team were outstanding. They were communicative, friendly, and provided me with all the information I needed without being overwhelming. I felt like Dr. Setton and the team truly cared about my needs and concerns. I ended up pregnant after just the first cycle of treatment. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for fertility services.

I love Dr. Setton and wish he could be my regular OBGYN! The thing I like the most about him is that he's patient, and will take the time to answer all your questions and concerns. There are no stupid or annoying questions with him, and he never makes you feel rushed, like so many other doctors do. I had initially come to him to consult on a second opinion for IVF, and he was very open to my input and experience from having done two rounds of it unsuccessfully at NYU. He was not "This is my way and this is what you're going to do". I ultimately decided to go with a donor egg, but I still had lots of questions and concerns about being pregnant since I have endometriosis. Dr. Setton addressed all my concerns, where other OBGYN's dismissed them and gave me curt, insulting answers. You can see my other review for SGF as a practice (not great, be aware of their confusion and miscommunication when you're onboarding). But Dr. Setton is so amazing, that he's worth the headache of dealing with their administration.

I am sooooo happy that I chose Dr. Setton for my family’s IVF journey. His demeanor and great bedside manner led me to trust his approach and every recommendation that he had along the way. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Setton ! From the first appointment he thoroughly explained the whole process very honestly and did not shy away from the ugly side of IVF. I can not thank him enough for being so compassionate and even personally checking on me in the emergency room during a complication due to my PCOS. He really makes you feel so comfortable and I always had a great laugh whenever I had an appointment with him ! I can’t thank him enough for being such a big part in my first pregnancy. We look forward to seeing him again for baby #2 in the future ❤️

I had the opportunity to have a year working with Dr. Setton and the AMAZING SGF team! The communication was impeccable and detailed to ensure you understood every step of the process. My husband and I received so much support and positivity during our IUI process. With their community support, it made it less stressful and when the conception was successful it was a beautiful celebration in the SGF family.

Dr. Setton is truly one of the most compassionate, intelligent, and invested doctors I've ever been to. He is realistic, but also deeply hopeful. He supported my husband and I during our recurrent loss journey, and always provided insightful testing, recommendations and interventions. We always felt safe and advocated for in his care, and we have no doubt his support got us to this place - we are finally pregnant with our triple rainbow baby!

I never felt like I was just "a number" when I was at SGF NY with Dr Setton. My protocol was adjusted with every cycle and the whole process was always explained to me so that I understood what to expect. IVF can feel like 'chutes & ladders' - you get really high and suddenly find yourself back at the bottom of the ladder. Dr Setton, Val, Connie, Catherine - everyone we worked with - ALL had super positive energy throughout the entire experience. They made everything feel do-able.

I never thought the world of infertility would choose me. I thought we’d do a little dance and get pregnant. Oh how naive… After a year of trying and four failed IUIs I faced the reality that it was time for IVF. My head did a 360 degree spin. How did we get here? Is this really happening to us? Can I start over? I was a wreck during my first IVF consultation with Dr. Setton—anxious, teary-eyed and defeated. The laundry list of unknowns was paralyzing. I had so many questions, but didn’t know where to start or what to ask. Dr. Setton calmly assured me that I was in good hands and that we would tackle this together, one step at a time. My husband and I never looked back—onward. Dr. Setton exudes care and professionalism. He did every scan in the SGF Brooklyn office, knew my charts, closely monitored my progression and was ready to take action or alter protocol at a moment's notice. When a decision presented itself, he gave me options which made me feel like I was in control. Dr. Setton even called me directly after all retrieval milestones. I have the utmost respect for him taking the time to do this amidst his busy schedule. He didn’t make any promises, but I knew we had a joint end goal: a successful pregnancy. Catherine and Valerie, the best nurses in the world, made my treatment protocol flow like a well oiled machine. They called after every appointment with updates and next steps, responded quickly to portal messages, and were just a phone call away for any question no matter how big or small. They changed what was a daunting uphill battle into a manageable part of my daily routine. Together, we made it happen. We got through the 50+ appointments, countless blood draws, an egg retrieval and one embryo transfer. After my transfer on April 29, 2022 I squeezed Dr. Setton’s hand and said, “Thank you for everything.” I knew that no matter what the outcome he did everything possible for me and my husband. There are lots of choices, practices and doctors when it comes to fertility specialists. I am so thankful that I found Dr. Setton and Shady Grove Fertility. My only wish is that Dr. Setton could continue caring for his patients into their pregnancies. Graduating from SGF was another daunting transition, more unknowns! As I joyfully embracing sitting on the other side of my fertility journey (for now) I’m consciously aware that I’ll be back at SGF again, and I’m so grateful to have their incredible team of doctors and nurses standing beside me and my growing family. Thank you Dr. Setton, Valerie, Catherine and the entire SGF BK and NYC teams.

From the first VC call during Spring 2021 until our graduation day in Fall 2022, Dr. Setton treated us like we mattered so much to him. His honesty, even in the toughest of moments, was always coupled with his unwavering belief in us being able to have our family one day. His warmth and patience made us trust in him and his team. Every communication was detailed, personal and frequent, which always gave us clarity. We are immensely grateful for Dr. Setton and his team for always being supportive, no matter the moment, and for never giving up on us.
