Today, I had my first cardiology appointment. Dr. Plawes was recommended by my doctor. I had a great experience. He had a great sense of humor which put me at ease. The technician who did my sonogram was also great. We chatted like old buddies. I was so at ease that I forgot that I was half naked in front of a man I am not married to. I’m not rating Dr Plawes but his reception staff. There was an elderly lady who was having trouble getting into the Medical building for her appointment. My husband had an appointment in same office. Older lady needed wheelchair as she was having trouble walking. We went into the office and told reception about the lady outside. One of the women at desk said she was going to go outside to talk to the lady. She never came out!! They didn’t have a wheelchair as theirs was stolen. I asked if they could find out if Marine Park Radiology to see if they had one we could borrow. Never called the Radiology. I think the lack of empathy these women showed was horrible!! I hope they never have a situation as this lady had today!! I’m not rating Dr Plawes but his reception staff. Do not waste your time going to this doctor!! Quite often they will not see you, if you call and are sick. When he does see you, it's in and out 5 minutes. There are other doctors in the practice which they do not allow you to see if he is out of the office. He also would not sign off on someone's surgical clearance because he was too busy that day and they were scheduled the next day.
