Dr Patel is AMAZING!!! No wait time, friendly and very polite! He is the only dermatologist in the area that answered all of myquestions and provided what I needed. I would highly recommend him!!
I want to start off by saying everyone in the office is one nicer than the other. Each and every one of them is super nice and super professional. One day out of nowhere my whole body was covered on red bumps. I was extremely itchy and had no relief. I did not have any idea what could be wrong with me. I made an appointment at Dr Patel’s office. I knew first hand he was the best of the best because I took my 8 year old son there for some skin issues. From the minute I walked it the door they were able to calm my nerves. As soon as I started talking with Dr Patel I knew I was in excellent hands. He knew exactly what was wrong with me after only a few minutes of him examining me. I have plaque psoriasis and he assured me that the medication he was prescribing me would take effect almost immediately. Sure enough after the first dose I saw a drastic improvement and I have Dr Patel to thank for that. Anyone who needs an excellent super knowledgeable dermatologist with an amazing bedside manor look no further because Dr Patel is it.
If I could give no stars I would. I should have walked out upon my first consult but I didn't listen to my instincts. Dr. said hello & asked what I was here for, while explaining the problem areas he blasted me with some type of Ice cold spray to my chest & said” well you’re a good candidate for cancer” He gave me a once over and pushed off my concerns without taking swabs of skin to do a biopsy. He was ready to just cut or burn off the problem area. If you like having staff constantly interrupt your appointment with the doctor even during a medical procedure this is the place to go. I had one procedure done, I needed another procedure done but chose another dermatologist who diagnosed me differently using a microspore for better & closer look and taking swabs of skin to send out to the lab on the problem areas. I am now being treated without the need cutting or burning.
Hands down best dermatologist in the Brooklyn/Staten Island area. Dr. Patel is the man, easy to talk to, funny and very helpful. I went to him to check on the status of my new tattoo due to redness. He gave me 2 creams to put on the tattoo and it healed up the redness from the tattoo within a couple of days. Leaving the tattoo looking just as great as when I got it. He is a great dermatologist and I would definitely recommend going to him with any skin issues you may have.
Very helpful and engaging. Took the time to understand my issue and helped me with my skin condition
Nice man. However he didn't bother to put a light to my face nor look at my skin. My insurance is paying an astronomical amount of money for what? Over all I left unsettled. Still no solution for my problematic skin. Smdh. It was a waste. We just simply had a conversation. Smdh. One assistant came in and she was very rude... She just walked in the door, didn't excuse herself and started adjusted the thermostat. Just poor manners. Off to the next doctor. Pffff. That's Staten island for ya!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
