Xiaojun Yan's Online Review Report Card

Dr Yan makes you feel like family. He is professional, caring, and thorough. He takes his time and you know he does not look at his watch. His staff acts very kindly and towards you, and have patience. I am confident in his care.

I gave 2 stars ONLY because of caring and professional nursing care my 94 y.o. received in 2022 comparing with nursing care in 2019 when she was at Mt. Sinai hospital. My mom was admitted on Saturday to ER and after CT diagnosed with pneumonia. Dr. Yan, pulmonologist, became her doctor. First time I saw him next day for less then a min. For 2 days nobody from dr. Yan’s team and or hospital staff spoke or called about my mom’ condition(I stayed with my mom from 10 am-8 pm every day) On Tuesday I contacted patient rep, and called dr. Yan office. On Wednesday I FINALLY received a call! from dr. Yan. My mom was slightly better, PT came on Thursday, and I was told we will go home on Friday. On Friday morning Dr. Yan came, my mom didn’t feel good, but he told that at home she will be better. We went home. It was a worst sleepless night in my life. I could hear gurgling sound in her chest! I had to call 911 again So, we are In the same ER week later. After blood work and chest x-ray I was told that my sweet mom will not survive. Honestly, I expected dr. Yan at least to call me. I was wrong! Dr. Yan just got rid of the sickly patient, my mom, like she is a lesser person because of age. He avoided talking to me for the same reason Dr. Hauter was understanding and reachable while providing comfort care for my mom. Loosing parent is difficult at any age. Dr. Yan made it extremely painful for me. To be honest, I am hurt and disgusted by dr. Yan’s behavior.

My appointment was at 10:30 am. Although there was not any patient infront of me, he took me in 12:00 pm. I kindly asked doctor you were late and nobody was infront of me. He did not explain the reson why he was late and he acted like I did not ask any question. He is reckless. I do not recommend any of patients who are seeking for a good doctor. Love Dr Yan very professional Great Doctor to go too very Thorough

Terrible experience and doctor prescribed asthma medicine for undiagnosed problem. Had terrible side effects then he refused to explain or change. Receptionist hung up after complaint.

Dr Yan has been my doctor for 18 years and I just wanna say he is a phenomenal and fantastic doc he literally saved my life a couple of time. He is very serious and dedicated to what he does as in the medical field. I don't trust no other doctor to treat me for my condition .

Dr. Yan takes the time to listen to you and understand your symptoms. The office staff are friendly and helpful.

1st impression wasn’t too bad.. but don’t be fooled, he’s not a caring doctor. I would not recommend him to anyone. The staff is also horrible and slow.. Waste of time!

There are better doctors out there... First impression is ok but overall he’s not a good doctor, he’s careless and he’s quick to prescribe medications... would not recommend him to anyone.

My friend’a fathe who doesn’t speak English was told that he had to be checked up at another hospital and appointment was made for him. On the day of the appointment he went to the address just to find out that it was a huge hospital which he doesn’t where and who to speak to. I called the clinic and they told me they have no record of this patient being send to another hospital for check ups. Wow just wow.
