Yasmin Lyons Do's Online Review Report Card

Took my son for his annual physical and left not wanting to return again. My son saw Dr. Lyons once before and even when I left that previous appointment, I did not have a good feeling. Most recently, the doctor insinuated my son may have Autism (no explanation) and implied that my parenting was not good enough. This doctor does not know us personally (aside from 2 -45 min visits in the 10+ YEARS of my son's life), did not ask what our life was like prior to covid nor if my son has experienced anything traumatic DURING covid since she wanted to get into the social emotional topic. Never again and I see I wasn't the only parent who received sub-par treatment.

Dr. Lyons has been my son's pediatrician since he was 3 months old (he is 5 yo now). She is an incredibly thoughtful and careful pediatrician. She has a great bedside manner and whenever we have had questions, whether they have been about sleep issues or more serious medical issues, she has been very clear in her explanation and very thorough in her evaluation. We highly recommend her.

Look for another doctor. Experience was not good.

I was surprised that this doctor ever received a positive review. She has an extremely callous attitude. Never examines the child properly. Diagnosis is inaccurate and leaves you more doubtful than convinced. Will come in with a big 'Hi' and be all friendly, but we need a good doctor who knows what the matter is and how to cure it. Not on top of things.

Dr. Lyons is brilliant. She is very intuitive and intelligent. She listens to my concerns and answers my many questions. She notices things that even I didn't notice about my child. She is the first doctor who has been able to help me finally find solutions to my younger son's eczema which didn't include a steroid. I don't like doctors who over medicate children and she doesn't do that. If you're looking for a doctor to drug up your child or prescribe antibiotics at the first sneeze, then go elsewhere. But if you're looking for a doctor who knows what she's doing and isn't just trying to make the pharmaceutical companies rich, then go see Dr. Lyons.

I was advised by the receptionist to bring my daughter in to obtain a referral for an eye doctor after calling to request a recommendation. While waiting in the room to be seen, I overheard Dr. Lyons raising her voice "why would they come here-shouldn't they be at an eye doctor? what a waste of time some people are". I was obviously shocked by such unprofessionalism. When she finally came in I immediately jumped at her and stated that it was her staff that was told to relay the message to me that I was to bring my child in to be evaluated by a doctor before I was sent to an eye doctor. She quickly (and abruptly at that) "examined" my daughter's eyes by shining a light in them and told me nothing was wrong. She then directed me to "pick up my referral at the front desk". She walked out. The entire "visit" took no more than 3 minutes. I was recommended to this practice by a number of people. In two prior appointments I was very pleased with the care my children received. It's disappointing that such a well known highly rated practice would house such a heartless person to work with children, I will make sure that we do not have to have an appointment with her again. She should really remember who she is working with-children.

I am very surprised Dr. Lyons has chosen to work with children. She is cold and has a horrible bedside manner. She is belittling when parents voice their concerns. Tribeca Pediatrics is such a wonderful practice and all of the other doctors are greatI am really surprised they have her work there and in the future I will ask that she not be my childs physician.
