List of Yoke Helen Wong's Reviews
The worse bedside manners ever! She laughed and judged me with personal information I revealed to her in confidence. I was in complete shock! Watch your bills as well! She charged me office visits when I called just to find out test results. Very money hungry if you ask me!
Please be cautious about billing especially when your insurance isn't good. She will bill charges without telling you first. Document everything. Just be extra careful with this practice.
Charged me for two visits for a pap smear and then lied everytime I called to back up my claims with information from my insurance. The billing department even told me to go ahead and file a fraudulent claim with my insurance.
I went to Dr Wong because my regular ob/gyn was not delivering anymore. She is very patient and takes her time with you. But be aware that she will gauge money from you whenever she can. Call your insurance company to double check and confirm whether a certain test she recommends is covered before you pay her out of pocket. Do not take her word for it without checking with your insurance company. Her office will not be nice enough to give you a refund if you find out later that something was covered. Also, if you are receiving prenatal care, keep in mind that she does not give you an ultrasound at every visit. She is very money conscious. My regular ob/gyn with my first child did an ultrasound every time.
I only went to her because my previous ob/gyn was not delivering babies anymore. My previous ob always did ultrasounds at all of my prenatal visits, but Dr. Wong only did it a couple of times throughout my pregnancy and even mentioned more than once to me that they cost a lot. I felt she was looking out more for her pockets, than really being genuinely concerned for the best interest of me. Also, she likes to gauge money whenever she can from you. Call your insurance company to confirm whether a certain test is covered before you pay her out of pocket.
Professional and fantastic bed side manners! Truly cares about her patients!!!!
I went to see Dr. Wong for an easy-to-fix medical issue. She advised that I get surgery. Shocked to hear that, I went to another doctor in her area and presented the same information. That doctor informed me Dr. Wong was way off. He prescribed me birth control pills, and my problem was solved. My advice to all is PLEASE get a second opinion if you have any doubt in your mind about treatment.
My insurance changed and I had to find a new gynecologist. Dr. Wong was thoughtful, helped me relax, took her time. I would recommend her highly.
Worst experience I have ever had with a gyno. If possible, would give 0 stars. Due to my old gyno not accepting my new insurance, I decided to try this one. Everything was very mechanical for her. Waited in their reception area for about 10-15 minutes. Pap smear was done in 10 minutes or less. Spoke with her about other contraceptive methods while she was refilling my birth control which lasted no longer than 5 minutes. Fast forward one month later and I receive a co-pay. I look at the charges and turns out they billed me for two visits. I call the office and they direct me to the billing department who informs me that because I discussed other birth control with her, the doctor felt it was adequate enough time to bill me for a second visit. Outraged I contacted my insurance who assured me contraceptive methods counseling was included in my wellness examination. I call them and the billing department tells me it was because I spent 45 minutes with the doctor that they felt that was the correct code to bill. I tell her that I spent no more than 5 minutes and regardless it would've been covered in the wellness exam. She tells me she will speak to the doctor and I get a call back saying they don't think they billed incorrectly. They then bring up that I had high blood pressure at my time of visit which she discussed with me. I told the billing department lady that she expressed a concern but was just told to come back in 6 months to check up on that again, how does that warrant another visit. She then proceeded to tell me that they will not change it on their end even though I informed her my insurance said they have to refile it on their end with the correct code. She then proceeded to tell me to go ahead and file it as a fraudulent claim.Never in my 7 years of going to ob-gyns have I ever encountered a situation like this. They kept changing their story everytime I brought up new information to back my claim.
Her office and all equipment was pretty outdated and if my insurance didn't change I would've continued seeing my old gyno. As part of my annual physical, we were refilling my birth control and she felt the need to charge me for another visit which I later received a bill for because she thought those extra 2-5minutes was considered another visit. This is pretty unethical. I've never encountered this with another ob-gyn.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
