Negligent hospital beware ! No mercy hospital is more appropriate

My husband had open heart surgery, and Dr. Downing did magic! The ICU unit and the cardiac unit did a wonderful job. Very efficient and professional. Excellent care.

I called an ambulance because I thought I was having a heart attack. Mercy hospital ruled it out with an ECG. I continued to have cold sweats and chest pain mixed with the feeling of light headedness and what felt like my heart skipping beats. Mercy left me in waiting for the last 4 hours and I have yet to be seen. The staff has been cold and non empathetic. Compassion written on the wall.... Joke. No water bottles for patients. Id rather die at home.

Professional manner, yeah right. Compassionate? If you consider Board of members making a lot of money while the actual staff is overworked and understaffed then maybe. The immediate staff is kind. But the leadership of this place is so blind to the actual needs and pursues profits over proper care anyway. What a shame. I would avoid going here for anything unless it was necessary.

Called the ambulance for extreme pain in my kidneys.I was sent to Mercy ER they left in the hallway for 30 minutes before someone came to tell me I had to go wait in the front area because there are no rooms available. Now I can be understanding most of the time but when you see me in extreme pain and tell me I have to go wait in the front that's just a slap to the face. I had to wait with no pain blockers for 2 hours before I just got up and left. I would rather suffer In my own bed then wait and get treated like I don't exist. Ah by the way I went somewhere else and found out I have a kidney stone. I guess that was why I was in so much pain .They prescribed me some hydrocodone and told me to fallow up with my urologist. The medicine helped me until I could see my doctor. I say this with a 😊 , to everybody who works at mercy I hope all of you get kidney stones Amen. Don't worry it's not painful at all. To my fellow patients please stay as far as you could from this place they care more about strikes then you.

I been in the er from 3pm and it is currently 11 pm and I’m still sitting in the same spot , no one has come to check on me without me asking 15 times before hand if I could leave and I was okay enough I would

This hospital leaves patients with blood clots in their waiting room for HOURS they leave patients to suffer… the nurses are not empathetic and ignorant and rude thank god my husband works for the government because I will be filing a complaint and something will be done .. DONT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE !!! This place is a joke

I went in to the ER today for possible blood clots and passing out after waking up from a nap and I've been waiting here for almost 8 hours and counting just to be seen. For God's sake, they let somebody bleed out on the floor right next to me who was wheelchair bound they were waiting so long. What is going on with this place?

Arrived fearing I was having a heart attack with a 170+ heart rate. Horribly rude and uncaring staff from the security/front desk to the nurses and doctor. I was threatened by a nurse, Gabriela, who was mad I chose to exercise my patient rights and forgot she isn't running a jail, and aggressively lowered the bed railing, telling me I can "get up and go if I don't want help", while I was hooked up to an IV having heart palpitations. Also overheard multiple nurses complaining when a patient near me began having a seizure. Grossly neglectful staff who so clearly doesn't want to be there. Definitely visit another hospital if you have the option to do so.

I guess that strike was not about patient care after all. After a MVA and being transported via ambulance my mother sits in the waiting room for 5 hours after a head injury. Nobody can tell us how longer. Staff is unfriendly and seem annoyed they are here. Police that frequent the area are unmasked. Literally people doubled over in pain and Nobody does anything for them. This is not good patient care. 5 hours still waiting just shameful, what ever happened to mercy values. Do better for our community!
