Sarah Xin Zhang's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Zhang is a good Doctor. She listens to you very carefully and explains your options. I have been seeing her for several years.

I have been seeing Dr. Zhang for about 4 years now, and she has helped me a great deal. I suspect that the Riverside Medical Clinic puts certain restrictions on Doctors such as, amount of time they can spend with patient, and of course the money side of it. i.e., start with a medication before you can order tests, x-rays, etc.. (Unless you have an obvious issue which requires testing, etc.) Overall, I think Dr. Zhang is a very caring and compassionate Doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zhang for few years and have not been very happy with her at all. I have several very serious medical issues which cause me serious pain and that I see a lot of specialists for, but she was primary care Dr. However, there are certain things that I needed her to address, not the specialist, and she just blew me off. As a result, there is certain pain that I live with on a daily basis, that may have been greatly reduced if she would at least look at the issue and try to address it. The worst part is, she recently blatantly refused to help me. I had to switch to the pain mgmt doctor at RMC who put me back on narcotic pain meds, after I had been on an alternative medication for some time that was working pretty well for me. With the narcotics, I need a higher dosage because of the seriousness of my issues and the amount of time I had been on them previously. So they switch me but put me on an extremely low dosage compared to what I had been previously been on. I never want to ask for higher dosage, even though they themselves can see what I was on previously compared to what I am on now, and it is ridiculously lower. So, I asked the Pain mgmt. doctor to take me off the narcotics and put me back on the alternative medication, and he gave the run around about this and ultimately would not do it. During the previous few appts w/Dr. Zhang, she had lectured me about the narcotic meds and how I need to go off of them. So I'm thinking I can go to her and she will help me go back on the other non-narcotic medication, as I was fed up with taking these meds and still being in so much pain. So I went to her asking for help and she complete refused and was super rude about it. Fine if she couldn't prescribe the other medication, but at least try to help me in SOME WAY. Point me to a different doctor, or offer to talk to my current PM doctor, recommend a different medication....SOMETHING. But she did NOTHING, just said she couldn't help me and that's it. All this talk about how people should not be on these medications, all her lectures about it, then when you try and they REFUSE to help you!! It's absolutely ridiculous and wrong. I absolutely WILL NOT be going back to Dr. Zhang! When I think about the doctors I had prior to moving to this area...my previous primary care doctor was light years above Dr. Zhang in terms of quality of care, bedside manner, caring, etc. Never once did I go to him and he didn't address whatever issue or concerns I was dealing with in some way. That is a doctors responsibility....not to just blow off your patients because you either don't want to deal with it or don't know how! Her standards are just extremely low, and I absolutely would not recommend going to her!

Usually can get an appt within a day or so which is great. She is a good Dr if you have minor ailment issues such as a cold, flu, etc....BUT if you go in with concerns that require more attention FORGET IT, she blows you off...I went in 3 times to see her for what she kept telling me was a UT infection...after 3 appts in 1 month I referred myself to a specialist (on my own) and found out I had lost over 80% kidney function in one of my kidneys due to large staghorn stone. She doesnt seem to want to go further in diagnosing possible health problems unless you push her .

Every visit i've had with dr.Zhang has made me feel horrible afterwards. I wemt in to confirm a pregnancy. I waited an hour and 20 mins in total and only saw dr. Zhang for what seemed like 5 minutes. I was hoping that after having my pregnancy confirmed I would be told information as in how far along i was , estimated due date, etc. But she wasn't going to tell me anything and seemed annoyed as well as rushed when i asked these questions. Before my appointment i told the receptionist that i took three pregnancy tests and wanted confirmation from my dr. If i had known that i was going to be sitting there waiting for an hr and 20 mins just to have her give me what looked like a dollar store test as confirmation and not even bother taking the time to inform me more about my pregnancy , i would have never made the appointment! I asked if i could get my info and confirmed pregnancy on a form . All i was given was a print out that in a small corner reads "pregnant" . That's all the information on my pregnancy I was given . Any other information I asked about which clearly annoyed the rushed dr. Zhang. I was still talking as she walked out saying "okay. Ok." I wasted my money paying my copay and my time ! Changing doctors!!!

My family goes to Dr. Zhang.. I always get scheduled in right away. The nurse has us in a room within 20 minute and Dr Zhang is very understanding. Staff is caring.

Worse doctors office that I have ever had experience. We have Dr Amy Zhang as our primary doctor. However when you need her she is NEVER available. No matter how sick you are you will get an appointment after 2 weeks at an average. Staff is RUDE especially Jennifer who has no courtesy or compassion. Changing the doctor

I have been a patient of hers for several years and have not been very happy with her service. I usually go to urgent care before I will bother to see her. It was very difficult to get an appointment with the doctor she took over for, now you can always get a same day appointment. When you have an ache or pain her answer is always to take Motrin and come back in 2 weeks. She always doubts what I have to say about my conditions (she does not believe that taking Motrin for an extended period of time makes my kidneys hurt and makes me feel ill and when I went in with shingles she told me I was too young to have them. It was my 2nd time so I knew exactly what I had.)
