The entire visit with the actual Dr. felt rushed with no real concern about my symptoms or how to treat them. However the rest of the staff was attentive and kind.

Barely any wait time at all! Dr. Sobie was very nice and Ivan Wong, his medical assistant, was very skilled in flushing the ears and explained everything to me as he was doing it. My son is handicapped and very jumpy with noises but Ivan was quick and efficient. Highly recommend this ENT office.

Dr. Sobie is an experienced ENT. He is knowledgeable and kind. I have an ongoing issue and he always suggests things I can do to help the problem. I am very particular regarding the doctors I see. I would recommend Dr. Sobie.

Helped with a chronic problem

Dr. Sobie is without question one of the kindest, most caring, and compassionate doctors I have ever met. I suffer from multiple disabilities due to a genetic disorder. Being a competitive athlete most of my life, I was extremely healthy. I was a competitive boxer right up to the day I became sick at 35. My symptoms came on quickly and continued to worsen just as fast. Shuffled from one doctor to another, I couldn't possibly keep track of how many doctors I had been to or the number of diagnoses. I struggled to breathe and ended up in the ER dozens and dozens of times. Most of the time, they would treat me for asthma which I did not have, or give me steroids and other medications to reduce the swelling of my trachea and send me home only to find myself struggling for air within hours of the treatments wearing off. We live closer to Rochester than Buffalo, so Dr. Sobie is outside my insurance coverage area. I happened to be in the Lockport area when I suffered an event and was rushed to the nearest hospital. Fortunately for me, Dr. Sobie was the physician who cared for me in the ER. This was back in 2006 or 2007. I wasn't his patient before I visited the ER, but he treated me as though he had been my primary care physician for years. I believe that he saved my life on that day. Unlike all my previous visits to the ER, Dr. Sobie realized there was a severe problem. He then admitted me into the hospital, and I saw him every day for the following week or two; however, I did not see him once a day as he did rounds. I would see him four or five times a day or more. Dr. Sobie was the first doctor to take the time to try and figure out what was going on with me. I'm not sure if there is a word limit for these reviews. I could write pages about Dr. Sobie as he is the most caring and compassionate physician I have ever known. He performed a tracheostomy on me, which I have to this day. He probably does not remember me. He treated me for a while, but after being deemed 100% disabled, you have no choice but to go on Medicare, and that's when he fell outside my coverage area. I've probably seen more than 100 physicians over the past 15+ years and I haven't found one that could match the qualities I experienced from Dr. Sobie. I wasn't searching for this site; I just happened to land on it by pure chance. When I saw his name, the memories flooded back, and I felt compelled to share my experience. I was fortunate to have found Dr. Sobie in the way I had, and I will forever be grateful as he went above and beyond any of the dozens of physicians I had seen before him. God bless you, Dr. Sobie.
