All though this was a very difficult time for me Dr Downing and Brian Hill were outstanding at making my fears subside. They were always a pleasure to deal with. They answered all of my questions and I felt that I was under the best care possible. I would highly recommend Dr Downing and his complete team to my family and friends.

Dr. Downing and his staff are awesome! They are very friendly, knowledgeable, compassionate, understanding, patient, and are very accommodating. If I call the office with a question or concern, I am connected directly to Brian Hill, PA's extension. If he is unavailable, I am able to leave a voicemail, and he promptly returns my call. He will take as much time as necessary to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns until I feel comfortable. Both he and Dr. Downing explained everything to us in words we could understand, honestly, without "beating around the bush". They both also have a great sense of humor, which is so important to us; makes us feel more at ease and lets us know that they are also human beings with feelings and not robots. After performing my husbands' multiple procedures, I am so impressed with Dr. Downing's abilities and confidence as a surgeon. Thank you all for everything, most importantly for giving my husband a new lease on life.

Can't say enough about Dr Downing. Better than excellent surgeon, great bedside manner. In 15 minutes, explains everything you need to know about a surgical procedure. He replaced my aortic valve and left me with hardly any external scar .
