List of John W Batich's Reviews
I am in my mid-twenties and have been a patient with this practice since I first started seeing an OBGYN about 8 years ago. On numerous occasions the staff/nurses have been highly unprofessional and extremely insensitive & rude. I’ve felt judged for asking for routine STD/STI testing and been discouraged to change my birth control methods when I clearly have stated the need and want to. I have heard Dr. Batich and nurses discuss my confidential information outside of my room before coming in when others could hear, where they also made a point to comment on there not being a real reason I’m seeking care. I now work in the medical field myself and am in shock every time I interact with this office. I dread making appointments and can’t wait to establish care elsewhere when possible. It’s unfortunate there are not many healthcare options in such a rural area so patients have to suffer with unacceptable care. St. Lawrence Health System/Rochester regional needs to be held accountable.

See the number of infant mortalities at Dr. Batich's hands.
Clearly doesn’t bother to read test results, then spends the appointment covering up the fact he is unprepared. Would never let this person operate.
Clueless. Clearly hadn’t bothered to read a single test result. Left waiting in exam room for an hour, only got seen when I went to front desk to make sure someone was aware i was in there. Condescending, and spent visit trying to cover for the fact that he had not bothered to prepare for appointment. Got zero answers and the front desk stafffer was rude.
He was on call when I was induced at CP Hospital. Spent little time with me on the day I actually delivered and rudely asked why I didn’t use him for my prenatal care. Whatever, but shows how cocky & nasty he is. Then he didn’t even show up while I was pushing until almost 2.5 hours in and then screamed at the nurse for not calling him sooner because the baby was stuck. He did at least get baby out but yelled at my family, the nurses, even me! Threw trash all over, complained about the size of my baby (even though he knew ahead of time and we discussed and he had no problem with it then), talked about me like I couldn’t hear him and acted like an out-of-control toddler. Completely unprofessional. Never checked up on me later to see how I was healing. If he had come to the room maybe 1 hour into pushing, he might have realized the baby was stuck and we could have done a csection instead of letting me go through a traumatic birth! Easier to blame the nurse I guess
If a patient calls with a concern regarding IUD location, something they have a history with, you should return their call. Absolutely dissapointing
Dr Batich was so professional, caring and thorough...by far the best Dr I've been to
Amazing DR right here! He’s funny, completely cares about his patients and is always available for your concerns!!! He delivered my daughter in 2018 and he’s my delivering my current baby I’m pregnant with! 100% recommend him to anyone! Even for just regular Obgyn check ups! His staff is amazing and caring as well!
I would give fewer stars if I could!!! I have never bad mouthed a doctor but my daughter, who is 21 years old, is presently hysterical talking to me about her recent visit to Dr. Batich. This was a follow-up gyno appointment (she met with the nurse practitioner, who is awesome btw, regarding heavy menstrual flow and changing birth control) and he knew nothing about why she was there, asked very irrelevant questions repeatedly, and tried to get her to use an ancient form of birth control. He treated her like an imbecile!! Retire now, buddy. The nurse was rude as well. This was a very disappointing appointment, to say the least.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
