Pm Pediatrics. Long Island / Carle Place's Online Review Report Card

I have had many good experiences here however this last visit had me appalled. I will never be coming back. Dr. Perry Fishkind was the worst doctor I have ever encountered. He accused me of wanting to kill people when I asked for a lateral flow rapid test instead of a PCR for an upcoming flight. The airline and country both require a lateral flow, not a PCR. I know this review sounds crazy, but Dr. Perry Fishkind was an absolute nightmare and I will never be coming back.

Dont even bother to make an appointment! Had an appointment scheduled for 3:00 and was told to sign in and wait in my car. No problem. I was called in at 3:45, asked for some information and told to sit in the waiting area. Sat in the waiting area for another 1.5 hours when I could have sat in the car. Walks in were allowed to sign in and go before me and others who had an appointment. They should just allow walks in if thats the case. A complete waste of my time and my children who had to sit for all that time. Communication from the front was lacking. Very sad situation.

the worst place to go bad attention they make you wait up to 3 hours and they don't take care of you the worst they only charge the insurance and they don't help they put the security to talk to the people they just need to put the cleaning staff to answer the calls

Lackluster PM Pediatrics. I’ve Been to Other Locations and Had a Smooth Experience. All I Came for Was A Covid Test, and Waited Over An Hour to Not Even See a Doctor...The Receptionist/CNA/RN Was Completely Unhelpful and Could Only Offer That There Was An Influx of Patients and High Volume of Emergencies. Ridiculous.

No lo recomiendo, mi esposo llevo a nuestra hija de emergencia porque tenia fiebre y vomitó. La espera fue de 2 horas y el test rápido de covid que normalmente tarda 15-20 minutos nos lo ban a dar hasta el día siguiente antes de las 2:00pm.

We have always brought our kids here, we used to love the staff and service .But post Covid this has gotten real bad; the waiting times are ridiculous and the receptionist at the time was rude and with bad attitude. Sadly I will consider taking kids somewhere else after this experience.I don’t know what happened to this once great place.

I brought my son who is 19 years old into PM pediatrics urgent care on over the weekend. He was complaining of body aches and a bad cough that was hurting his chest. We were brought into a room and the nurse questioned him on what brought him to urgent care. She questioned what tests we wanted. Really?? I replied maybe a covid test, I don’t know. Thinking to myself, should the physician make that call with us based on what she sees when she examines him. She proceeds to ask us if we want a rapid or PCR, they can only do one and if we want the other test we need to come back and pay another copay (exact words used). Really, you are more concerned about a copay?? She does the rapid Covid test. The PA walks in examines my son and hears the wheezing. My son repeats that he also has body aches. She never even thinks to say let’s do a flu test. The rapid covid test is negative, she diagnoses him with asthma and prescribes an inhalers. We get home and within an hour my son starts with 102 fever, asthma does not cause a fever! I call his pediatrician on Sunday morning and bring him in. They could not understand why the PA did not consider a rapid flu test especially since he complained of body aches. Well, his pediatrician did a rapid covid, PCR and a flu test and the results came back that he is positive for Flu A, adding to his treatment plan . I paid $75.00 copay and received an inaccurate diagnosis and walked out feeling that money mattered more than my son’s health. I paid $30.00 at the pediatricians’ office to get the right diagnosis and confirm how I felt when I walked out of PM Pediatrics urgent care. What has happened to the great quality of care there??? Since when does the patient decide what tests will be performed?? I understand the high demand and request and need for covid testing in certain situations but my son was sick. Isn’t this a discussion to have based on the doctor’s examination? Better yet my pediatricians nurse was more educated and based on my son’s symptoms recommended all 3 tests before the doctor came in. PM Pediatrics urgent care was my go to place when my children were sick or injured after hours, For years, we had great quality of care until now. The 2 of us witnessed the nurse and PA’s discussion with us so it was not misunderstood what was said. Since when do you have to select which test you want?? only 1 test per copay??? are you seriously trying to get away with this nonsense. PM Pediatrics needs to do better. Great quality of care is STILL more important over a profit!!!! I am very disappointed in our experience and waste of time and money.
