I haven't had surgery yet but the experience leading up to it was really good. I found out things about myself that I never knew. I have surgery Sept 14th after reading 1 bad review I wanted to back out. But I have to say I will not. Him and his team have made me feel so good about everything. I am nervous but definitely looking forward to go all the way I know I will be in good hands. I wouldn't go through with any other program than with him and his team!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Dr. Rutkowski preformed my gastric bypass surgery back in 2019. I thought it went very well and I actually really liked him. A year later my sister wanted to get the same surgery so I referred her to him. She had to go through the process of pre procedures and tests before the surgery. Dr. Rutkowski did an endoscopy on my sister with out evaluating her before the procedure to make sure she was going to not have any problems with her oxygen levels since she was a smoker and had sleep apnea he performed the procedure and my sisters oxygen levels were severely low during the procedure and nobody noticed because afterwords she never woke up from the anesthesia and ended up crashing and passed away.

I had my surgery done on 11/8/2021. Dr Rutkowski, & his team from the beginning were very insightful, informative, tentative, & caring. Gave me all the sense of relief, & confidence that I needed to go into having the Gastric Bypass surgery. Rite now, this is absolutely the best decision I’ve ever made. My highest weight 286lbs. Day of surgery I was 271lbs. Today, March 26th, I’m roughly around 220lbs or a little bit less, & still losing. I will recommend any, & everyone to Dr. Rutkowski, if they were thinking about getting the surgery. Also, I knew I was in good hands when, he asked if he could say a prayer before surgery. Little did he know, at that moment, my anxiety left!! Thank You Dr. Rutkowski. See you soon for my 6mth check up!!!

I have been overweight my whole life, which led to a lot of anxiety and depression. Last summer I saw my PCP for my annual check and was told I needed to go on medication for my high blood pressure and that I was at risk for diabetes. It was then that I realized things needed to change I actually googled bariatric surgery in Buffalo and Dr. Rutkoski was the first result that popped up! I watched the seminar that was provided and instantly knew that he was the Dr. I wanted to see. Dr. Rutkoski is the nicest guy ever. I felt very comfortable during the consult as he addressed all my concerns and showed that he really did care. He was very thorough with explaining everything to me. His office staff is also wonderful! I never had a problem with any appointments or waiting at all. His scheduler, Cassidy, is also great! She helped make this the most non-stressful experience ever. I recently had my VSG surgery and everything went great! Dr. Rutkoski came and saw me before I went into the operating room and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. He also said a prayer with me. He is definitely the most gentle surgeon because after the surgery, I couldn’t believe the lack of pain I had. It really was a great experience from start to finish. I would recommend Dr. Rutkoski to anybody who is even considering bariatric surgery! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I had bariatric sleeve done 2 years ago and the experience with Dr Rutkoski was wonderful the part that I loved is before surgery he asked if I pray I said yes so he said well let’s pray before surgery and we did Thanks Dr R for what you have done for me losing over a 100 pounds and keep it off is sometimes a Challenge but I’m doing it that is my before and after pics

Dr. Rutkoski is the gentlest surgeons I have ever had the privilege of having as a Dr. He is kind, compassionate and genuinely cares about his patients. I have gained some if my pre-surgical wieght back due to emotional stress over the last 2 yrs. ( my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer and has gone home to be with Jesus) I can't wait to call the office and request to see Dr. Rutkoski to hopefully have my sleeve redone. I also truly appreciated the Dr. John's prayers before surgery.

I was a happy overweight person, but when I got a phone call from my daughters first grade teacher telling me someone made a comment about her weight in gym I knew I had to do something. I made her overweight. The next day I called to set up an appointment with Dr. John. I had 2 friends who previously had the surgery and they lost a ton of weight. I called in February and covid hit us in March. All of my appointments were put on hold but I was still determined. At Trinity, everyone is so nice and not judgemental. We're all there for the same reason. I ended up having the surgery in November 2020. Here I am December 2021, down 160 lbs. I can cross my legs, I can wear a dress, I can climb stairs. This is a whole new life I never lived. I took my kids ro Disney and did not have to worry if I fit on the ride. I got to enjoy every ride WITH my kids instead of sitting waiting for them. I can not recommend Dr. John enough. As of today I have 4 friends following in my foot steps. Dr. John.....thank you for everything, giving me a new life i never knew i wanted for my family and I and also I will never forget the prayer you did with me before surgery. I was all alone, no one was allowed in with me, and you just made me feel comfortable and more calm .

I couldn't be happier with Dr. Rutkoski and my decision to care for myself! I had the bariatric sleeve 2 years ago and I feel like I have my life back! I am able to walk again! I am able to breathe! I fit in a large for the first time in 30 years!! I cried in the dressing room when my daughter brought me a pair of jeans and they actually fit! I can play with my grandchildren! I ride my bike with my new boyfriend after being single for 16 years!!! I was so anxious and Dr. Rutkowski prayed with me and settled all my questions and fears. If your on the fence about getting the surgery jump over the fence! You will never regret it! Thank God in heaven for this tool to make me successful in my weight loss journey! Dr. Rutoski is a very skilled surgeon. He is also a surgeon who shows extreme kindness and empathy toward all of his patients. I am truly blessed having him as my Doctor.

If I could rate Dr. Rutkoski 10 stars I would! Out of any kind of Doctor, anywhere, that I have ever had, he is the one that I feel most confident in. He is someone that I trust completely, each time I see him he impresses me more than the last time! He literally reads his next days patients files at home, the night or weekend before. He comes into the exam room fully prepared and 100% knowledgeable. He knows all your recent bloodwork/ tests/ etc. I have never met a Doctor who has ever done this! He cares so much for his patients and listens to every word intently. He is so kind, patient and understanding. He will never rush you through your visit and has even worked through lunch during my visit. (Meaning, my visit took so long that he missed his lunch). Dr. Rutkoski even called me himself to explain the results of my recent CT scan. Doctors hardly ever take the time out to call you nowadays. He is just the best! Understanding, sweet, professional, knowleable and kind. ❤❤❤❤❤
