Mary L Coan's Online Review Report Card

Dr Mary Coan at Integrative Family Care at Clifton Springs has been my Physician for a long time. We first started going to Dr. Coan when her practice was in Gananda, NY and I followed her to Clifton Springs. Dr. Coan has successfully treated and guided me through a terrible life-threatening illness. Her vast medical knowledge and homeopathic methods meld with my lifestyle and my way of thinking. I do not believe I could ever find a better Doctor than Dr. Mary Coan, I am truly blessed to have her! Dr, Coan’s Nurses and office staff, they all have been fantastic on trying to meet my needs and requests.

Dr. Mary Coan is the type of doctor every other doctor should strive to become during their career. She listens to the patient and takes time to review data (testing, patient feedback, etc.) before reaching any conclusions or providing treatment. If you go to a regular run-of-the mill MD, he/she follows some protocol dictated by the AMA/insurance company because doctors are no longer allowed to think for him/herself. This is incredibly dangerous because each person has their own individual needs. Furthermore, the healthcare in this country is made to keep people sick and keep them paying large sums of money. Thankfully, Dr. Coan offers a DIFFERENT approach that does not rely on this broken system. I am proud to have doctor who is concerned more about prevention and healing the body versus adding more medication and/or surgery. She is amazing and I would recommend her to everyone!

I have been fortunate to have excellent doctors most of my life, but none compare in the time, personal attention, follow through, and knowledgeable care I receive from Dr. Coan. Her staff are courteous, kind, well trained, and go well beyond the call of duty in serving her patients. I find Dr. Coan uses her background and Ph. D. in toxicology to explore all options for me and I feel she knows far more about meds and interactions than many doctors have from their med school studies. I never hear her say "It's standard of care." She searches until she finds what's best for me! I'm never rushed out or left with unanswered questions. I am so grateful for her care.

Dr. Coan is the only physician my wife and trust implicitly. Her staff is very friendly, helpful, and patient. If we move away from Rochester, we will still retain Dr. Coan’s services, returning when necessary.

I am extremely pleased with the care I receive from Dr. Coan. She is detailed oriented and doesn't let things fall through the cracks. She listens; she offers her medical advice and suggestions and her office staff works well and as a team with her. She does not rush you out of her office until she has answered your question as some doctors have done. I cannot imagine finding a doctor who is as good as her. I am so glad that my friends told me about Dr. Coan many years ago. No doctor takes as good care of me than Dr. Coan. Excellent physician!

We love Dr Mary Coan. She is so very caring and her staff are the best. We almost consider her family. She discovered our grand childs type one diabetes which is something our grand daughters pediatrician didn't find. Thank you for all you do!

Excellent, very thorough and informed about latest developments in medicine, genuinely caring and personable physician, one who is not afraid to think outside the conventional medical thought. What a relief !!!

Very understanding, Takes her time with her patients. She and staff are one of a kind

Dr. Coan is great, although I still had to do most of my own research, she was able to work with my findings. When I got laid off due to covid and couldn't keep paying the extra money to be her patient I suddenly without notice couldn't get my prescriptions refilled. Went round and round with the company and even tho I had only 1 annual wellness exam I was being charged for two and they would not work with me at all saying I owed $1000 and would still have to pay the full amount even tho I haven't and would not be allowed to see my dr. Untill the full back amount was paid. This group she joined ruined a good dr. I'm not left with no thyroid medication and not sure what will happen next and very worried what will happen to my health without that medication.

Never seem to be able to schedule an appointment. Easy time I am able to schedule an appointment I end up waiting. Last time I waited over 20 minutes. Each time I go there’s a different PA and haven’t seen Dr. Coan in years. Ridiculous!
