I am type 2 diabetic and I see Dr. Charitou for this. She listens and is very attentive. She also gives alot of advice to managing the disease rather than just prescribing medication

Worst doctor. Wish I could give her negative stars. I was all set up for an FNA biopsy of my thyroid. On the table, she sonograms my neck, tells me that there's nothing there and sends me away. I go right back to the radiology place and not only did I still have 7 nodules on my thyroid, they find one more. Got another order for an FNA biopsy of my thyroid where they find Papillary Thyroid Cancer and I was in surgery the following week having a Total Thyroidectomy! Imagine if I listened to her.

this doctor is not up to speed on the potential side effects of drugs she recommends and does not either understand or want to understand how genetic varietnts can alter a person's ability to utilize the drugs therefore rendering them dangerous to her patients. She seems to be a good doctor for basic concerns.

Dr. Charitou is not only a brilliant physician, but she is warm and pleasant. it is a pleasure to be her patient. i have moved from long island to westchester and continue to see her. i think that is quite an endorsement!

While the stonybrook office and politics leave a lot to be desired. Dr. Charitou is AMAZING i have graves disease and have seen quite a few endocrinologists. She is the first one I can honestly say I am comfortable with that I trust 100%.
