Normally Dr. Xiaolei Zhu is my doctor- and she is "literally a lifesaver." At the very least, Dr. Rachel Wong, who took care of me today, is "Zhu-like." Dr. Wong is a highly skilled medical practitioner whose medical expertise is obvious. She also has a very calming demeanor and outstanding interpersonal skills. I saw Dr. Wong for the first time when my regular physician was off. She was so competent it was very impressive. I had a knee problem that I feared might require surgery. But after listening to my long description of the symptom and pains, she caught me by surprise. Said she read my history and thought it was gout. The light went on for me. I have a history of gout but always in my feet. This was the first time in my knee. After manipulating my knee, she determined there was no structural damage. Meds she prescribed already are working. She was brilliant And insightful.

I saw Dr. Wong for the first time during a sick visit, and she spent 45 minutes with me explaining things, making sure she had every detail needed, covering every base. She was so thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. Not only did she make me feel in good hands, but she treated me like a person and not just a patient. She listened really well to everything I had to say in regards to my visit. Perfect balance between professional and compassionate. This is the sort of doctor people wish for!
