I specifically stated that my primary doctor wanted me to be tested for Covid, rsv, and the flu. They refused to test me for rsv because I didn’t have shortness of breath and they refused to test me for the flu because I didn’t have body aches. They tested me for Covid and strep and I was negative for both. The following day I went to the Guthrie Walk In and they tested me as I requested, and I was positive for Flu A.
I’ve been here multiple times and always had a good experience. Went during the holidays to have stitches removed, the nurses and doctor were very patient and so kind. They were able to get me in quickly despite being busy
We had to visit right before Christmas as my wife was very ill. The receptionist I believe her name was Franny was so kind and accommodating. She was able to help me figure out my wife’s insurance as it wasn’t going through. She would check on us as we waited (which was awhile) and we got the care we needed once we saw the doctor. On our way out she checked on us one last time. Very pleasant experience.
Communication amongst the team members didn't seem great or they were understaffed. I was put into the "negative pressure" room (but my complaint was a sore ear primarily). So I wasn't comfortable being put into a room that was for possibly contagious people. No communication with me about whether and why. Finally, after doing paperwork and paying copay, I was brought into a room and then I heard a muffled something from the person who brought me back -- all I heard was "black phone." So I sat in the chair closest to that phone. When it rang many minutes later, I didn't realize I had to answer (because the person bringing me back was speaking with their back to me and sort of muffled, so I didn't realize I was supposed to answer the phone when it rang). A nurse then stuck her head in and asked me to pick up the phone when it rang. (Why not just come in and ask me the questions?) I realize they thought I might be contagious with something (although my primary complain was a painful ear, and I specifically said I wondered if my ear was infected, so how they came to that conclusion was beyond me -- leaving 90% of all the other patients in the regular waiting room). It's as if once I was doomed to the negative pressure room, everyone from thereon treated me like I had the plague. I wasn't congested or feverish or sick in any way that would suggest I would be contagious. So sitting in a big room alone for almost 45 minutes, having to answer questions on a black phone, then seeing the doctor before anyone had even gotten my blood pressure, oxygen levels, and temp was just strange and lonely feeling. After the doctor said I was ok - and to check with my primary if the ear pain persisted, THEN a nurse came in to get my vitals. Then I sat there for far too long waiting to leave. It just all seemed really disorganized and as if communication there (with clients and one another) is not the greatest.
I went there a couple weeks ago and had to leave. The lady at the front desk was not nice. She snapped at me and was rolling her eyes. I went a previous time and saw them and it was great. A few other people I know said they had a rude woman at the front desk too. The next Day. I went to immediate care in Ithaca and it was awesome. The front Desk lady was amazing and sympathetic to everyone who walked through the door. I am a nice person and treat everyone with respect so I was a bit taken aback by the front desk person in Cortland. I didnt feel well and I think sick people need someone who is caring and compassionate. Perhaps this person needs some training in how to be kind to people if she will be continuing to work with patients. Other then this not so nice person everyone else was very nice.
All staff was friendly and professional. It was very busy for a long time, they needed more help. Seemed light on staff.
Went for respiratory infection
Nice environment, excellent care, and was seen quickly.
Forcing you to wear a mask again why not leave it up to the individual and stop forcing people to wear them.
Very kind and polite and care was good

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
