List of Herman B Kleinbaum's Reviews
I have been seeing Dr. Kleinbaum for decades. He has treated me for ulcerative colitis. He has been caring and always listens to my issues. He doesn't miss a thing when he does a colonoscopy. When I was at my worst he did everything he could to get me through it. His advice and treatment saved me from having my colon removed. I went through hell with UC and thanks to him I am now healthy and pain free. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
While he listened well, he didn't offer much in terms of treatment.
This doctor does not care about your health at all! I had a lump in my abdomen, he touched it with 2 fingers and told me it was a parastomal hernia and I could just leave it. No tests, imaging, nothing. Saw my neurologist IN THE SAME GROUP who told me he didn't like the answer I got and referred me to a surgeon. No parastomal hernia at all, but another issue that took over 4 months to resolve. Thank God my neurologist has morals and cares!! NEVER see this dr. It could be DANGEROUS to your health!!! Also, I saw this alleged doctor over the course of several years and my gastrointestinal problems were never even spotted or diagnosed through endoscopy or colonoscopy, and I switched to another doctor after this incident who immediately did both procedures, and I was diagnosed with a condition that has caused my symptoms in ONE day. I lived with these problems for years until I saw a doctor who cared and was highly skilled. So in one day my issues were resolved, after seeing Kleinbaum for years. Kleinbaum also rolled me out of an endoscopy telling me I have a large hiatal hernia that may need surgery in the future. Guess what? No hiatal hernia at all, as confirmed by endoscopy from my 2nd doctor. The only answer is he thought he was talking to another patient!!!!! Stay away from this doctor.
One of the best gastroenterologist I have been to.With a life long history of ulcerative colitis under his care I feel like I did before my I became ill.Dr Kleinbaum changed my medicine and I am a new person.
Had my first colonoscopy this week, cannot say enough about how great Dr. Kleinbaum and his staff were - explained everything clearly, gave me directions for follow up . Great bedside manner.
Good give a good one about YOU so to get rid of you & your hemorrhoid problem he gives a double tube of hydrocortisone prescription got be refilled 5 x and I end up with a FISSURE because it burns the skin.
Excellent caring was very kind to my 88 year old mother and his explained her problems in detail that I understand
Great experience I have always found him attitude and knowledge to be excellent.Doctor Kleinbaum never rushes you listens to my issues and explains things in plain english
Love this doctor real easy to talk to has been doing my colonoscopies for last 28 years he’s number one in my book
If you are looking for a doctor that cares about how you feel, may I suggest going somewhere else. I went to Dr. Kleinbaum after visiting the ER. His solution was to give me 4 days of sample medication and dismiss me with a wave of his wrist. Nothing to be said about future follow ups or concerns about what may be causing the problem. The medication ended on Saturday, Monday I called the office and was told by the nurse she would call me after speaking to Dr. Kleinbaum. Needless to say on Tuesday not only have I not heard from either one but both aren't in the office and no one has any idea who I am. Problem still exists and pain is still very real. Dr. Kleinbaum may be a good doctor for routine colonoscopies but if you want a doctor who cares about how you feel and is aggressive in helping you feel better - FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
