During Covid , 2020, I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. You are never sure until after surgery but it was. I debated where I hoped to go to be treated but the only one who saw me right away, no excuses bringing my paper info, because of Covid other centers would not accept paper only digital requested , what I had was accepted by Dr. Rao. I saw her May 21 and surgery was June 9th. Her whole team were so supportive. She listens, you are given options, everything was explained more than once. Dr. Rao I am thankful for. Covid was a very difficult time with a stressful diagnosis, she made a difference.

Gifted, Caring, Patient & Approachable Dr. Rao Calmed me when my fears of Breast Surgery from Her2 Cancer was overwhelming. Her suggestions for continued treatment offered alternatives means, and not just traditional standard methods to treat my Cancer. Forever grateful for her attentiveness towards my concerns, and her expertise as a surgeon that had me feeling no pain whatsoever (did not even need an aspirin) after an 8hr. surgery. I feel blessed to have Dr. Rao as my Doctor.

Dr. Rao is an excellent doctor & I am beyond thankful for her. My OBGYN noticed a lump on my breast during a routine exam and further testing indicated that I needed to see a specialist. Having to see a specialist for my breast was all very new and scary to me and I wasn’t sure where to turn. After researching doctors in my plan, I randomly stumbled upon Dr. Rao. All I really knew was that she was affiliated with Columbia Pres. & there are not many reviews on her which honestly astounds me because she is such a phenomenal doctor. Upon meeting her, she alleviated all of my worries with her professional and kind demeanor. She’s empathic, compassionate, intelligent and has incredible way of discussing medical matters with her patients. Overall, she was a wonderful doctor all the way through. She explained things carefully to me and even drew out what was going on-which was reassuring since I don’t have a medical background and I’m a bit of a visual learner. After my byopsy findings indicated that the lump could potentially be phillodes, I made the decision to have it removed. I couldn’t have chose a better doctor with the next steps that would follow. The operation went incredibly well and I experienced very little pain while on the mend. If I had to go through the whole process again I wouldn’t have done anything differently. Her kindness and supportive ways meant the world to not just me-but also my family who were by my side each step of the way. If you need a breast specialist and are not sure where to turn-go to Dr. Rao.

Dr. Rao is the most thoughtful, caring, and wonderful physician, Dallas has in the community. She is not only my personal doctor, I have sent many women to her who all agree Dr. Rao is amazing!She treats each patient as they are the most important, and always takes time to explain every detail very thoroughly.In other words, she cares!
