List of MIchael G. Lasser's Reviews
Both my kids have had Dr Lasser since they were born. He is absolutely exactly what I want from my kids' physician, except for the allergy stuff which is a little out there for me. Everything else, though, I trust him entirely. He isn't prone to over-diagnosing or hysteria, but when he says we need to take action on this or the other, I never doubt. His office staff is friendly and helpful. Since NY Presbyterian absorbed them the character of the office itself has become much less warm and friendly, but the staff are all their excellent selves. My only negative is I'm worried he'll retire before my youngest ages out of seeing a pediatrician.
We have two kids who've been seeing Dr. Lasser for years. There's zero I want to improve. I find his office staff totally competent... I'm not going to say they're the shining beacon of reception, but I've got no complaints. If you have to leave a message they call you back promptly, and I've had no issues with communication. Dr. Lasser, though, is awesome. He is exactly the balance between "Oh, don't worry about it, it's gonna be fine" and "This is actually something you need to do something about." We're pretty laissez-faire kids-are-made-of-rubber parents, and if we had a chicken little pediatrician who was always trying to medicate and intervene, that would irritate me... on the other hand if he was always saying to do nothing, I'd worry he wasn't being attentive or well-enough informed. Instead it's perfect--if Lasser says I need to do something for the kids, I have no second guesses. And when he says let it ride, I have no second guesses. Really.
The front desk and nurse on Saturday is horrible. The wait was over an hour I understand there are important factors but they made me rush over here to wait in an office with even more sick kids.
Dr . Lasser is my children and grandchildren’s pediatrician. He is a very competent doctor and I rate him a ten. He has never been wrong with his diagnosis and treatment with my children and grandchildren. Lydia Cuevo
On the few occasions we’ve seen Dr Lasser he’s been great. Very thorough. Takes time to answer questions. Obviously very compassionate about what he does. His office staff, on the other hand, is borderline incompetent. Expect to play phone tag for 2 weeks to make a routine appointment.. Don’t bother trying to make an appointment with the online patient portal because they’ll call you after hours on Saturday to cancel and make you wait until Monday before you can reach them. All around a huge has

He can be very impatient, and seems frustrated by having to listen to the patient.
We are very happy with Dr. Lasser. He is very helpful and my 3 children like him... he is also very knowledgeable.
He is VERY NICE & FRIENDLY when you need him he is up to the task.1#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (P.S. this was written by my 7 y.o. son)
We loved Dr. Lasser, but then our insurance changed and had to go elsewhere. We miss him. Dr. Lasser was our pediatrician for over 17 years and we hold him in the highest regard. Dr. Lasser's diagnoses were spot on and his approach was always cautious and appropriate. He always sought to treat using the least amount of medications necessary unless an aggressive approach was warranted, and in both the short and long run that is always what is best for the body. Our children miss him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
