List of Newyork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital's Reviews
Our area hospital does not have a spine, muscular specialist so my GP recommended I go to another emergency room when I felt my problems were so extreme it was time to try to go to in-patient rehab. I chose NY Presbyterian in Cortlandt because I have been a patient of an affiliated hospital for decades. I couldn’t drive because of my condition and had to rely on my 80 something parents to drive me an hour and a half away, my parents told the staff that they were leaving to check in at their hotel because they had reservations and later a nurse Rachel said you’re not really experiencing problems you’re well enough to have reservations at a fancy restaurant with your parents which is something I am absolutely not able to do, my parents’ dinner consisted of packed sandwiches not a fancy dinner by the way. First this rudeness and then it all spiraled down from there, I had a CT scan of the lower back which revealed a herniated disk, I told the attending doctors and nurses that I felt I needed to go to short term physical rehab as it is now difficult to feed and clothe myself and in response they said they would keep over night and give me a physical assessment in the morning. They left me on a stretcher in the hallway without food or access to water all night long and without an attending nurse, I badly needed to use the bathroom which was a few feet from me so I walked a few steps with great difficulty, I finally asleep for about an hour and a half and then was rudely awoken at 6:00 in the morning by a Dr. Ko, he said “Get up, you’re being discharged I saw you get up and walk a few steps so you don’t need rehab.” Meanwhile my muscles are hanging off me and spasming, when I protested saying you really don’t understand how bad it is, it’s a suicidal feeling condition, he said no it’s not, knowing nothing about me or my condition, he then brought nurses and security over who started screaming at me “Every room is full of COVID patients, we only have COVID patients (not true, I saw people being admitted because of physical injuries) don’t you know people are dying? Every room in every rehab is taken by a COVID patient, you’ll never get in” Then they threw my clothes at me and refused to put me in a private place to put my clothes on, they made me put my sweater on over my hospital gown and had security take me to the lobby to wait until my parents were able to get me. I am shocked at the lack of empathy and compassion, I’ve had many serious medical procedures and never had such rudeness and lack of caring, the majority of the emergency room staff seems to be experiencing a mental breakdown, avoid this place and especially nurse Rachel and Dr. Ko at all costs. Now I have to go to a different emergency room and start the process all over again.
Omg! Have they helped me when I was sick!
Mala atención dejaron esperando 4 horas después de llegar mal para decir tome motrin no toman exámenes de sangre de nada no ayudaron en nada
I was there twice last year. Once for a allergic reaction and twice for another medical reason. They were very nice each time I was there. The first time I was scared and couldn't understand the doctor. The nurse take time and told me. I was on the second one of the aides was the best kind and caring she took good care of me. The second time I had the same experience so kind and easy to talk too.
I’ve been trying for two weeks to schedule an appointment for a mammogram. Every time I call I’m put on hold and no one ever picks up. I have left numerous messages for them to call me back. Which I’m still waiting haven’t received. This is unacceptable the way they are running their radiology department. Time to go somewhere else.
Very good hospital!
Check in 11/04. 6:30a.m. Was very unfriendly, prison like check in like, at digestive center. Only out of sorts observation. Went there for Colonoscopy w Dr. Herman Kleinbaum. Dear & compassionate expert in field. Nurses Sue, Nancy & Dr Jo Rathnathacan were great. Also 2 others were nice. Sorry did not mention names.
I’ve never in my life dealt with someone so rude with such a lack of compassion in my life than I did with the jerk this hospital has working in the ER department, checking patients in. Everyone else I’ve come in contact with has been great and kind and respectful. Whoever hired this guy, got it ALL wrong. He does not belong there, it’s the wrong kind of job for a man like that. He should work somewhere where he doesn’t have to deal with the public with an attitude and demeanor like that. I was shocked by his behavior and it took all I had to bite my tongue and walk away. NYP….you need to do better! This guy shouldn’t be working with the public and especially not in a department where people are already stressed, panicked, in pain and scared. The ER has really gone downhill here….very disappointing. I’d much rather drive 20 extra minutes to Northern Westchester Hospital….that’s the best hospital around, in my opinion
The doctors and staff at the imaging center are not at all helpful. They were unable to read an ultrasound even though I was sitting right there and when I looked at the screen I was able to see the information I needed. They have a chip on their shoulder and undermined my concerns. This is a medical facility, I don’t know why they would be so unhelpful about someone’s health.
I'd give 0 if possible! For over 2 weeks I've tried to get through to radiology, women's imaging to make an appointment. I got through one time to ask about process. I asked scheduling why it's so difficult to get someone on the phone & was told hospital was having technical issues. I couldn't get through on main number, or radiology. I finally called Patient affairs & left messages about scheduling issues. Instead of calling me back, they had scheduling call me & was provided a direct number to call. So I called, & after 20 minutes on hold, I left a voice mail. I gave up after calling for 3 more days. I again called & spoke to someone in Patient affairs who apologized. She advised she'd look into it & have Supervisor of women’s imaging call me. That was almost 3 days ago. I made appointment for mammogram somewhere else. It took me all of five minutes. Disgusting customer service! Shame on you Hudson Valley Hospital!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
