I love how efficient and professional the doctor is and his staff. I went there for a bug bite on my eye, only to discover that I had a cyst!The doctor removed the cyst and I was on my way within 30 minutes of the appointment. I am so glad that I went to him and highly recommend him.

Dr. David Sachs and the wonderful staff at OCLI East Meadow have seen me through a very frightening and difficult journey. I was referred to Dr. Sachs by an optometrist who said he wanted me to see someone who had real expertise in difficult corneal issues. I was frightened and worried. My vision was blurry and rapidly getting worse. I was able to get an appointment almost immediately. The staff was courteous and efficient. A special shout out to Cheyenne who was especially friendly and really put me at ease. Dr. Sachs was comforting, reassuring and patient and professional. The examination was thorough, and Dr Sachs took the time to listen to me, really listen. He also explained in detail what his approach would be in solving my problem. During my course of treatment, he always made himself available. When the office was closed due to COVID, he called to check on me and make sure that everything was still progressing according to plan. At no time did I feel in the dark (literally or figuratively). Whatever questions I had were answered, in detail. It seems now that my vision is restored. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have been cared for so carefully and conscientiously. I just realized that this has been a two-year journey. It was rough going, but Dr. Sachs has seen me through.

My husband and I had and continue to have the highest review possible for Dr. Sachs and the entire staff. We are never rushed when we are with Dr. Sachs. He answers all of our questions and takes time to explain exactly what is wrong. We highly recommend Dr. Sachs and the staff. I have referred friends and relatives to him.

DO NOT LET David Sacks treat your eyes!! He is extremely dangerous and does NOT care about your eye care! He took my mother off of her glaucoma eye drops and now she has permanent damage to her optic nerve! If you truly value your vision and those of your loved ones, DO NOT let this so called "Ophthalmologist" treat your eyes!! At my mother's last office visit he impatiently told her that he did not care what type of lubricating drops she used!. He sold over the counter eye drops for $18, when they are sold on Amazon for only $9.00!! Please, if you really care about your eyes and vision and those of your loved ones DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR!!!

First time patient . Referred by my primary care physician.Office gave me a quick appointment. Front office was friendly and very efficient. All staff were courteous and professional. Doctor was thorough and informative. Great experience.

Had surgery several years back, lots of problems with vision . constant complaints and still a vision problem. 5.000 dollar lenses will give you 20/20 vision he said. 250 dollars more and i'll fix the Astigmatism.not true, takes your money and Ignores your complaints. tells you one thing and tells your Doctor another. not good, go to someone else.missed diagnoses and you'll get stuck chasing him to fix it , which he will not. Because he is always right. Wrong!

The worse. The staff was respectful and professional. So when I met the Dr. I thought he would be the same. WRONG. What a rude arrogant patronizing creep Dr. Sacks is(maybe I misspelled the name. Instead of a u it probably was an a). This doctor chastised me in front of his staff. I wouldn't chastise a child the way he spoke to me. If you wish to be treated with any human decency this is not the Dr.

If you're looking for one of the best opto specialists around look no further. Dr. Sachs is the specialist to go to.This is a no-frills opto office, however you will find lots of People magazines!! Lots of patients bcuz he's in that kind of demand. Don't let that discourage you.. he's quick, to the point, and knows exactly what to do and prescribe. He's an older doctor with a ton of experience, and when specialists need help they go to Dr. Sachs.5 years ago after "examining my husband's eyes", he diagnosed that he had diabetes... unbelievable. He diagnosed my ocular rosacea when many speicalists said it was an allergy.We drive sometimes 2 hours to get to his office, and then gladly wait to see him. Great peace in knowing you're in the best hands that you'll make the drive, wait patiently, and be grateful.

I was referred to Dr. Sacks by my urgent care doctor.I am very impressed with Dr. Sacks and his staff.Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. His nurse gave me great advise about the medication that I needed.Dr. Sacks was very kind, with great bedside manners and proper explanations of my condition.In this day and age that everything is about money, it is such a breath of fresh air to found this office!Thanks again to all of them.
