I always request Dr Hunt. I have never had a bad experience. He answers all my questions and is always knowledgeable about my previous appointments even if I seen another dr. I don’t understand the bad reviews. He has been a great doctor, always professional. Very down to earth. I’ve always received great prenatal care.

I have never had a worse experience at the OBGYN than when seeing Dr. Brian Hunt. I asked the nurse practitioner if I needed to remove my tampon before the exam. She said no as she proceeded to insert the vaginal speculum. After returning home and attempting to remove my tampon I could not see or feel it. Panicked as one would be I went back to the OBGYN to have it removed. When Dr. Hunt came into the room he said "well this must feel embarrassing". He then began to AGGRESSIVELY attempting to remove the tampon just to tell me there was nothing there. When I asked if it would be addressed with the nurse practitioner he looked at me with a blank face. He was EXTREMELY unprofessional and make me feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I would not recommend any young women, or any women see this doctor.

He botched my sons circumcision when he was born. I literally had a nurse run into the procedure room and she stopped him before he just went in to perform this procedure WITHOUT even talking to me, even though I requested to speak to him prior. He came in and with a look of "what do you want" and I spoke to him about my concerns. Mainly that I heard ALOT of babies have bad outcomes at Stony Brook Hospital when an OB does the procedure. He claimed to have done hundreds/thousands and never one complaint... Well here I am with my son who didn't have it completed properly, now he has ro undergo another procedure to have it corrected. How would he know if he was doing it correct? He's an OB! NOT A PEDIATRIC SURGEON! He literally never sees the kid again! Do not ever trust him. So disapointed! Always request a pediatric surgeon!

Awful OB. If he's on while you're in labor at SBU, run for the hills. You WILL be bullied into a csection.

He is human he speaks to you in away that you dont have to go home and google things he answers all your question and doesn't rush you.He remembers his patient and has amazing bedside manners

I agree with the other review. I have been going there three years, Dr. Hunt is a great doctor and is why I stay. Most of the girls in the office are rude on the phone and I have to call 10 times to get something simple accomplished. They act as if I'm bothering them when it's just part of their job. They girls that bring you to the exam room are much nicer.

Dr.hunt is a wonderful doctor he delivered my first son and will be delivering my next child ! But as for the office itself it sucks the staff is horrible the receptionists are TERRIBLE AND NASTY if dr hunt wasn't there I would not stay
