He is a terrible ophthalmologist. I am an ophthalmologist myself and he lacked basic awareness of fundamental basic medicine. He might just be senile in his old age or they weren’t hyper vigilant and he slipped between the cracks and is practicing but he is a dangerous doctor who needs to go back to medical school. The medical council should retest and reassess him. So sad.

Terrible doctor. He didn’t even know the definition of papilledema! So basic! He was saying that by definition it is bilateral. As a doctor myself I didn’t feel like having an argument with him and correct him by telling him that it can be unilateral or bilateral but that it is rare for it to be unilateral but not impossible and so he was incorrect. Terrible bedside manner and lack of knowledge! He needs to go back to medical school to brush up on basic knowledge. For someone to be so rude and incorrect is very sad, at least he should get his facts straight and well it is inexcusable to even be rude in the first place. I do encourage others to report him to the medical council with their experiences as well since he seems like a dangerous doctor if he lacks extremely basic medical knowledge.

I just recently had my left eye done for a cataract with Dr. Oats. I had the right eye done several months ago. He is so professional and takes his time to answer all my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend him. Thank you Juan LLera

I was in my 3rd day of suffering from a foreign prticle in my right eye. Previous visit to GP resulted in no relief-couldn't find anything. Dr. Oats agreed to work me in to his schedule (surprising because I had never seen hi previously). Although he couldn't see anything at first, he spent a while using some good equipment and then did a brief procedure and completely eliminated the problem. What a delight!
