Doctor was really rude nasty arrogant talked down to me for no known reason. I never even met him before nor spoke to him. It was a 5 min visit & he didn’t even look at my child’s injury. He then was rude once again & called CPS for neglect on my child’s injury for having a small rash. Run. Do not go here.
I have been trying to obtain physical therapy services for my injured knee for the past month and a half. At first the issue was that my referral had to be within the month limit so they could accept. I went to go get it renewed only to be told that they didn’t have appointments for the next week and by then it would mark a month for my new referral. That means I have to get me referral renewed a second time. It was very difficult to get the new referral and it was a whole process. I don’t understand why this is such an issue. I even tried to talk to a professional on the phone and they responded rudely and impatiently. Lack of professionalism and no understanding whatsoever.
Very wonderful orthopedics therapist. Especially Angie. And the receptionist sweet as pie.
I went to the Technology Drive office as a walk-in patient during their walk-in hours of 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. I was greeted by an extremely nasty person at the reception desk. "Why are you here" she asked. "I have a bursitis in my left knee" I responded. "Well, if you know it's bursitis, what do you expect us to do?" "I expect some form of treatment, you do practice medicine here don't you "No, we don't do that, we only triage. You'll have to make an appointment." The lack of service, lack of compassion, lack of professionalism cannot be excused. I will not return.
The wait times may have been long, but Dr. James Barsi is your guy. I had idiopathic scoliosis since age 10. It started off minor, only 13 degrees, but worsened severely through puberty. I eventually decided to get surgery, but by then my curves were around 90 and 50 degrees. Dr. Barsi was with me every step of the way. I first underwent halo traction surgery to loosen up my spine and straighten it out a little bit, and then had my spinal fusion surgery. The whole process was painful, but Dr. Barsi would come in to check on me first thing in the morning in the hospital, sometimes before 7 am! Having a doctor who cares helps. The results were amazing and the recovery could've been a lot worse in hindsight. A little over three years later and the only issues are very minor spontaneous back pains and the inability to bend my back to the extent I did before. If you or your child has scoliosis, I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Barsi.
Dr. Nicholson and Grace were outstanding!! I can't sing their praises enough. They replaced my knee in November 2020. He was tough but honest. I appreciated that. If his experience, confidence and professionalism didn't outweigh the aggravation of the phone system, I'd have definitely gone elsewhere but they were worth it!!I was only 47 when I had to have my knee replaced. That's how severe the deterioration was. I had been in excruciating pain for 2 years. My only expostulates would be that I felt like I was "shamed" for being on a minimum dose of pain medication prior to the surgery & was severely undermedicated post operatively. The stigma has to stop with this. Sometimes people need FDA approved opioid therapy. There is a time & a place. Nevertheless, I have a new knee and I am pain and medication free. I can run around with my grandchildren now. . . . . . . IN HIGH HEELS. Priceless.
Several yrs ago my husband had a very bad car accident which required several surgeries in different areas of his body. He had Dr. Kottmeier, Nicholson, and Dr. Sampson. This was his Dream Team. They worked on his hips, leg, and foot. We have gone back year after year for follow up and I have even chose Dr. Kottmeir for shoulder surgery. Great doctors very knowledgeable and professional.
Update June 30, 2021- Nothing has changed since my initial post. I find it hard to understand how this practice can attract and retain really competent medical professionals and deliver high quality treatment yet at the same time cannot maintain staffing to provide the most basic vital link between doctor and patient- the ability to have calls answered, appointments scheduled, etc. I have called numerous times since last week and left messages and was promised a call back but it has not come. A week later, I have decided this is probably a lost cause. I am not a complainer, I am in pain, and trying my best just to make an appointment to see my doctor. I will settle for the PA but even that requires a RETURN PHONE CALL FROM THE PRACTICE. While the I would rate the quality of the medical care here above average, the administration of the doctors' office is absolutely atrocious. I have called for days in a row, could not get a live human being, left messages where I was promised a call back the same day that never came, etc. Continuity of care is abysmal when you cannot even schedule a follow up appointment.
Dr. Sampson was terrific! This was my first visit with him and I would definitely return! First and foremost, he is very knowledgeable. Second, he explained everything concisely and had a nice demeanor. My highest praise is that I highly recommend him. In addition.. wait time was short and staff very professional yet friendly.
I cannot even begin to say how angry and disappointed I am about spending almost 2 months to get an appointment with Dr. Nicholson only to hear back finally that he is too busy to take me as a new patient. I sent in operative reports and blood work that was required. That was a nightmare as the staff kept telling me that they did not receive any of it. It was sent to them 3 times until finally they said they did get it, the doctor was reviewing it and then I would get a call. That took two more weeks. A totally unorganized staff, incompetent and unprofessional. I wish I would have known from the start that he wasn't taking in new patients. It would have saved me a lot of time and I am still in pain after all of this.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
