Jeffrey Chen's Online Review Report Card

Last year I couldn't walk, drive, sleep, shave, etc because of the pain in my upper right back and right arm. On last St Patty's day Dr Chen performed a diskectomy on C7-T1 and said I should improve 75%. Today I am 75% better and doing ok. Thank you Dr Chen. Dr Subbaiah and Heather.

I've been going to Dr. Chen for years and at first I liked his 10 minute cleanings and very abrubt straight to the point and out stance. My partner questioned how thorough 10 minute cleanings were though and said his dentist spends a lot more time probing for things wrong. I had gum pain and Dr. Chen directly recommended me to his endodontist Dr. Yu and kept saying "he's great I recommend my own wife to him.". I thought that was strange but I went to the endo and he immediately recommended a root canal. I was hesitant, I clean and floss and see Dr. Chen regularly and had no problems for years so I didn't feel it was necessary. I went to a 2nd dentist to get another opinion and he told me it was just a cavity and I didn't need a root canal and filled it and it's been fine since then. He then said wow, your old dentist still uses old filling material that no dentist uses anymore because of the mercury! Great. I then told my coworker what happened and he said the same exact thing happened to him within the same week. Dr. Chen recommended him to go to the endo to get a root canal and he went to the same 2nd dentist who just filled it and said it wasn't necessary. I don't know what's going on but don't hesitate to get a 2nd opinion if he recommends you to see the endo. I'm not going back to Dr. Chen anymore.

Never met him. They always send me to see a PA. They never return phone calls. Don't waste your time. He's never evaluated me and this office is disorganized. Stay far away!

I've been going to dr. Chen for so many years. He is always fast and detailed. Highly recommended him.

My procedure was preformed on June 3rd and I’m so happy with the results. You just don’t realize the pain your in until someone takes you out of it. I’d really like to thank Dr. Chen for taking me as a patient, I came to him with an injury as well as some prior surgeries. Dr. Chen’s experience and knowledge as an orthopedic surgeon enabled him to look at my multi level herniations and focus on the area that was of most concern. After my 2 disc cervical fusion I’m feeling better and happier with life. For me, it was a minimal surgery that gave the best relief. I’d really like to thank Dr. Chen and his staff for the excellent experience and would recommend him to anyone looking for an orthopedic surgeon. It’s good to know you don’t always have to go to the city for great care. Thank you Dr. Chen.

I was sent to Dr Chen from another orthopedist for my neck, which is causing intense pain all the way to my fingers preventing me from working or driving. I have yet to see Dr Chen. I have only seen the PA. The staff had not been good at all. I waited over a week for an MRI authorization, and only got it straightened out after calling multiple times. The staff would not return my calls. My friend had Dr Chen for her back issues including surgery and loved him. Unfortunately, I have not met him even though I was specifically referred to him by another orthopedist from the practice. The staff is the issue.

Dr Chen was amazing from our first visit. I had a MRI of my L4L5 and needed a lamenctomy of the spine. He walked me through each phase of the surgery and called to check on me that night of the surgery. He literally saved my life and my quality of life improved 100%.I was up and walking immediately. I have been in pain most of my adult life and my pain is gone. He is my life saver! Thank you Dr. Chen for helping me have a better quality of life!!!! Dawn Stumpo

I had neck surgery with Dr. Chen 10 years ago and am having trouble again. He gave me 10 great years! If I need to have surgery again I’m thinking of flying back up to NY from Florida (if he’s willing to take my insurance).

Great doctor, my boyfriend and his mom referred him to me. After not going to the dentist in years, and needing my wisdom tooth taken out.. Dr.Chen took care of it and pulled it out so quickly! I didn't feel a single thing and the after pain isn't too bad. I'm glad I went to him and will continue to come here. He's very honesty and the price is affordable! Oh I also got to keep my tooth haha Thank you!

One of the best dentists in the san Gabriel valley. Very nice, calm, professional, knowledgeable and what is very important fast and accurate due to his experience. I've gone to dr. Chen for years for many dental needs and have been always happy especially when he explains things, answers questions and does things quickly and right the first time vs my experience with some less experienced younger dentists that seem to be more about volume and flash. He is patient and can identify the problem quickly and just takes care of it. Doesn't try to upsell you on other work like some new offices do while you are in the chair. His office might be smaller no frills compared to some of the newer interior decorated offices but he has all the right equipment and experience which is always more important . Bilingual too. Nice staff there too.
