I brought my teenager to the Urgent Care part of the orthopedic office because her regular doctor in the practice had no available appointments and we wanted to be seen right away. They started taking walk-ins at 4 pm and I am out of the office now by 5:00 pm and we had x-rays done and saw the resident doctor. Friendly and professional.

Couldn’t believe that the hours are posted as 4pm-7pm, tried calling multiple times….got there at 6:20pm and the doors were locked. Super disappointed especially because my regular orthopedic from this practice pushed this urgent care for…well urgent matters obviously. Super disappointed in SBU ortho.

I have been a patient of Dr. Savitt for 10 years and find him to be knowledgeable , easygoing “ bedside manner,” and really takes the time to listen to my concerns and questions changes to my plan of care. He spends more time than other doctors I have seen. I don’t usually write reviews, but felt compelled to after reading the poor reviews on this site.

I found this gentlemen to have the poorest bedside manner I have ever seen in a physician. If I could give zero stars, I would. In fifteen minutes he made comments that were sexist, condescending, and based entirely outside of his realm of expertise. A true disappointment.

I'm certain he got his degree at an ONLINE Medical college. Very Incompetent and never listens to the patient. Talks like he is disconnected with Real World people

If Dr. Savitt is deemed to be compassionate, perhaps this compassion needs to rub on his Secretary. I found her to be rude, ill-mannered and with total lack of empathy. I called for a appointment at 9.15 AM and had to leave a message. Called again at 11 AM with no answer. Called again via Umass at 2PM and they too could not reach any of the three phone numbers associated with this practice. Called via UMass at 3PM and got through. On enquiring about the delay was told I was rude and she hung up!

This guy is in it for the Money. Is careless and obviously does not understand neurology like University of Maryland or Johns Hopkins. They make critical mistakes that could cost you your life
