List of Marshall C Miller's Reviews
Extremely impressed with Dr. Miller and his staff. It is a bit different experience as compared to other dermatologists I have seen. He doesn't have a lot of reviews going back 20 years which are either 1 star or 5 stars. These are usually related to his bed side manner. For those Yelpers who follow me, I tell it like it is.I developed a very serious painful Cancereous issue with my ear. My regular Dermatologist and MOHS surgeon was not available for weeks. I checked my insurance for in-network providers and called several but was told they were not taking new clients. needed a referal or they were booked up.Then called Dr. Miller's office and talked to one of the nicest people named Farida. She listened, verified he was in network and set up an appointment the next day.I could tell Dr.Miller was experienced and had a very competent staff, especially the Med Tech named Irene and MOHS Tech Daisy. He did not sugar coat my condition and he appeared to be very concerned. He ordered up an MRI for me, made sure I was not in pain and expertly performed the extensive MOHS surgery. I could tell this was serious, as I had to come back every few days, (which was fine with me) so he could check the healing and bandage. After several surgeries, this Cancer could not be controlled. He coordinated radiation and the final solution-ear removal Surgery at UCSF. I honestly believe if it wasn't for Dr. Miller this Cancer would have spread throughout my head.Dr. Miller has been a friend to me. Never rushed, always took his time and all the billing was done in a timely, fair and correct manner. He often spent time and talked with me. His staff has been with him for years. The office is clean and well stocked. I especially like the "Patient Point" videos on the waiting room TV. I watched a few. My jaw dropped and I would say: "Wow, I did not know that!"You DO NOT have to look any further for a Dermatologist than Dr. Martin B.Miller.
I hadn't been to see Dr Miller in over 10 years as I remembered him as very professional and got the job done.First off no one in the office wears masks which was very surprising. I came in as I had extreme itching and swelling on my ankle. He seemed to want to talk about anything but. We caught up on my medical history but he never checked my current meds, weight, blood pressure. I did get to hear about his brother's 2 dogs who he took care of after his brother passed. Then we heard about when he had hip replacement. He wanted to know why my 2nd knee replacement wasn't done and I told him I had some balance issues and had fallen a few time. He told me I needed to walk more and then I pointed to my walker saying that wasn't possible. He took a nail clipping of my toe and as I am yelling owww, he stopped while it was bleeding. He still didn't address my itching or skin redness and wrote me a prescription. So I asked him if he could give me something now to stop the itching. He gave me a Zyzal and then said he hadn't seen me in 10 1/2 years and he already took too much time on me.Believe it or not I have left things out. Needless to say I won't be back!
Dr Miller fixed my daughter's skin infection issue in 2 weeks and it took another dermatologist 2 months still not being able to fix the issue. The other dermatologist claimed to have 20+ years of experiences and was rated high in yelp.com but did not use the right ointment for effective treatment. Both dermatologists use the same lab report to determine what bacteria infection she had. My family members went to see Dr Miller during the past 10 years and we were never disappointed for the diagnose/treatment received from him. Big thanks for Dr Miller!!!
Dr Miller SUCKS!!! DO NOT SEE HIM!! My second appointment for son had to wait 45 minutes at each appointment. The MFer DONT WEAR A MASK during a f**cing pandemic. Like we don't have anything better to do than sit in an exam room?? I had to take time off work to come here, I get paid hourly and can definitely use that 45 minutes of lost pay!!!!! My advice STAY AWAY!!
If you expect a consultation that goes both ways, one in which the doctor listens and cares about your questions, DO NOT consider doctor Miller. He rumbles non-stop (probably a method to make the visit short and profitable), does not consult before performing a procedure and then bills you! Just horrible!! Do not go see this doctor!!
I was taking my kid to this doctor. His behavior is in general very rude with everyone including the office staff and patient. He prescribed the medication which resulted in very bad side effect. When I took to him, he said there this medication did not cause and there is nothing to do for teh side effect, it will just go away. It became worse and finally the PCP told that it was because of the medication and asked to stop it.I will never visit this doctor
The worse bedside manner possible. Rude to my 93 year old Mother. Does procedures without authorization. He will NEVER treat anyone in my family again!
Never going back. First thing he noticed was my phone was on the second he walked in told me to turn it completely off! I wanted to show him previous pictures on my phone of my rash i get on my face from a few years ago. So i was trying to turn my phone off and i accidentally pressed siri and he Said that Isn't turning off your phone... In a mean rude way! He was so concerned with my mosquito bites i got from a camping trip which he said were MITES!!! I was so confused at this point. then he started prescribing me cream for those bites so quickfor it! I went to see him for a rash i've been getting for the past 10 years. I was truly hoping to get answers since this was my first time visiting a dermatologist but this doctor said it was nothing. Waste of my time honestly. He seemed in a rush to run out the room and not ask any questions at all! I will be looking for a dermatologist that listens. Also must mention he feels the need he doesn't have to wear his mask. He wasn't wearing one at all for my appointment. So unprofessional!
Stay away if you can. Very poor bedside manner. He does not explain the options or procedures very well. He does not answer the questions you ask. Better to find a qualified doctor who can assist you and explain what is being done.
Went in to see Dr Miller for a hives all over my hands and stomach, he knew exactly what it was and treated me with the right thing. I did have to wait a long time and he didn't listen very well, but within a few days my hives cleared up so I can't complain.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
