Maury Marmor's Online Review Report Card

I took my 15 year old son Dom to see Dr. Marmor, we waited for over 3 hours to see him. I could not believe how disorganized this office was, never in my life have I experienced such a long wait, and nobody apologizes for keeping you wait. They made up an excuse, it really was an awful experience , I will never go back to see Dr. Marmor.

He deserves below 0 stars! Maury Marmor calls himself a Doctor but he is not. A doctor is a person who vowed to help people!! Maury Marmor refused to provide medical care to my child! My son needed to see an ophthalmologist for an eye problem so I scheduled an appointment and waited 1 month for the appointment. I get to the office with my child (whose appt it was) and my 3 year old. I fill out all the forms and provided my insurance card. Waited about 30 mins with my children in the waiting room. Once it was my son's turn, we were called by a medical assistant and she took a brief look at us and merely said "hold on". I waited about 10 more minutes without anyone speaking a word to me. The office manager Laurie then comes out and simply says "I'm sorry, the doctor won't be able to see your son today because you have your other child with you". I explained I am a single mom and my son needs medical care. She said there was nothing they can do as that is Maury Marmor's policy. If a doctor thinks he has the right to discriminate against single moms, what else is he willing to break the law for?? This is illegal and discrimination!

I see a lot of negative reviews on this practice based on wait time, so let me preface my review with, you're going to see a specialist during a pandemic, if you don't want to wait for a doctor with specialized knowledge, go somewhere else. That being said, I've had the pleasure of going to Dr. Marmor and Dr. Roberts, I have a lot of eye issues going on. I've had surgery from Dr. Marmor and had to go in a bunch of times, so I've dealt with pretty much all of the staff and they are some of the kindest, most caring staff you could imagine in a hectic doctor's office if you're not disrespectful about a wait time they can't control. If you need strabismus surgery and you live on the island, there are none that will do it better. Dr. Marmor and Dr. Roberts are amazing at what they do and care about their patients. Not only that, but Patty the surgical coordinator is an absolute pleasure to have help you along your path from scheduling to pre and post op questions she's got your back. For those who don't want to read all of this: tl;dr The staff is amazing, the doctors are amazing, if you need surgery their work is amazing. If you're going to complain and cause a scene about a wait time for a specialist during a pandemic, you're the problem.

My daughter goes to Dr Marmor. He fixed a problem that she had from going to the wrong eye dr. He really is the best!

Cannot thank Dr. Marmor enough for everything. I had eye surgery a few years back and it completely changed my life. He is very thorough, very knowledgeable. I felt like he understood my condition and where I was coming from and never once did I feel like I was in the wrong hands. I highly recommend!!

Great doctor!! Of course..wait time would be little longer, still it’s worthy. He’s an experienced person who, conveys very clearly. Go ahead👍🏻

I personally work here and have never had such a great experience working for such well educated and patient doctors. Myself as a nurse- I try to explain everything and if there’s any questions I might not be positive of- I make sure to tell the team about it so it’s resolved and the patients go home without worry. We have a new location- we moved from port Jefferson to miller place and the compliments we recieve from the patients that have gone to our office for years are outstanding. Sometimes we do run behind at times but it is only because the doctor wants to address any possible issue and answer all questions to again- make sure the patients go home without worry. And if there are any issues I’m sure mommies and daddies would like their child to be treated the same if there was something serious going on. To all that have had a bad experience here I apologize personally! We are under new management and both Cristina and Ashley are amazing office managers. And again- I’ve never been more happy working for such a great team. If there have ever been any issues in the past I would definitely suggest giving them another try! We work hard to make sure everyone has had a great experience here at LIPOS 😊

This place is definitely under new owner ship absolutely amazing my 10 month old loved it no wait the nurse and doctor was so awesome with him I would highly recommend

Very thorough and a nice person. The staff was very efficient as there were many steps that needed to be taken before my son could be seen. The waiting room is very kid friendly. I strongly recommend Dr Marmour and his group. Peds ophtho is a very difficult exam to conduct and they have mastered it!
