List of Monica E Lee's Reviews
I am completely surprised by the bad reviews Dr. Lee has. She is without a doubt my favorite doctor I've ever had. If I knew where she went when she left Kaiser I would leave Kaiser too, just so she could still be my doctor. If/when I have kids, she's who I would want in the delivery room. She's kind, straight to the point, comforting, and reassuring. Best of luck to her wherever she's moved on to.
One of the best doctors I've ever had. She is not the chatty happy go lucky type, but that's not what makes a good dr. You can tell she really cares about her patients, and is extremely thorough in her work. She was helpful and realistic in her prognosis, and very knowledgeable about options and course of treatment. She has my highest recommendation.
I loved her! I loved her bedside manner too! She was relatable, genuine, and kept things real! She left Kaiser recently and it sucks because she was probably my fav OB. Oh well! I hope she's on to bigger and better. I felt like I could really trust her opinion and she gave me great advice with dealing with my anxiety. All the best to her.
I had an appointment with Dr. Monica Sum Yee Lee in July because my treating Dr (who is by the way amazing!) had a pt surgery and my appointment was canceled. So I saw Dr. Lee as alternative and it was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. She didn't bother to look at lab results until I asked if there were available from my previous prenatal lab appointment (my lab prenatal results were not accessible under my log-in). Moreover when I asked her questions about new things that I have been experiencing and expressed my concerns, Instead of explaining their possible underlying reasons, and suggesting solutions, her answers were simply "...it's normal, ...it's common, ...most women have it, I had it too". Overall It was 7-8 min appointment at most including exam, ultrasound, monitoring baby's heart rate and all questions. She made me feel as I was intruding and disrupting her day with abrupt non-anwers responses to my questions and I felt rushed out of her Kaiser Valencia office. I would not recommend an appointment with her, especially if this is your first pregnancy (as it was in my case). She treats her patients as burden, as she is giving the biggest favor in the world by spending her 10 minutes for the appointment. However, she needs to keep in mind that insurance coverage costs a lot of money that her employer gets to collect and that's how her salary is paid.
Run! Don't waste your time. We had one appointment with her and immediately requested a different doctor.
Haters gonna hate-------------------------I'm frankly surprised at all the hate against this doctor. I couldn't give a flying f*** if she has rough bedside manners, or didn't write a Norco prescription. She saved my child's life and took excellent care of my wife. THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS. Please people, turn to Yelp for steak and oil change recs, not medical doctor recs. Why am I so adamant about writing this review? Because people feel like they know more than a TRAINED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL just because they watch a bunch of doctors on TV (Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, the Doctors...). Who gives a crap if the doctor is friendly if they don't know what the heck they are doing?! Ok, that's my 0.02Back to steak and oil change recs

Went to her last year and she's horrible. Bad bed side matters. I suffer from endometriosis and ovarian cyst for 6yrs and previously in 2009 had surgery in Summerlin NV for both sides of my pelvis. I came to her with extreme pain and I was missing work n my life was limited. Yet she didn't believe me and said it could be a STD!!! I told her I have a partner for 2 yrs and i live with him.. she had the nerve to say "Well...." I told her fine I'll do the blood work. And she keep saying "We'll do the ultrasound to see if you have tumors." TUMORS? I'm not a doctor but i know that was not the correct term to just throw around like that. I should have walked out but all I was seeking was a ultrasound. Finally I got one the following week, took my results and went to a different doctor immediately. Turns out I was right about my body I was suffering from bilateral endometrioma. I had a large cyst on my right that was twisting my fallopian tube and cause damage to my ovary. So don't waist your time with this one.
I love Dr. Lee and was so sad when she left the practice. She delivered both of my children one in 2009 and the other in 2012. With my first she came on her day off to deliver me and stayed with me from the very first push. With my second she came in early in the morning to deliver me. She is direct and honest. She always took the time to answer all my questions and I never felt rushed. I miss having her as my doctor.
I'm actually glad she's gone... no longer with Cedars! She was my doctor and delivered my son back in 2013, and at first, she was great! Then she completely changed... telling me that I was suppose to GAIN weight, and sent me to a nutritionist who said I was doing everything right!! What was her issue with me not gaining a lot of weight?? That was the start of the downfall... i changed my birthing plan and she was not so happy about it... I told her I did not want a planned C section and just wanted to give birth whenever i started feeling contractions and she was not having it!! She told me if I was "going against Dr.'s orders?" and I said YES! She did not respect my decision at all... kept trying to induce me too!! I really wished another Dr. would of delivered my son because I had to get a blood transfusion because of this woman! I lost a lot of blood during the sergery, when having my son, and my blood pressure went up after the birth (stayed at hospital for 5 damn days!!)I wonder why she's not with Cedars?? Anyone know? Awful experience!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
