I can't believe any of the other reviews, my daughter had several surgeries with Dr. Carrion and he saved her life and thoroughly explained every detail about all the surgeries and recovery. As a parent you need to come prepared to the doctor's appointment with your questions. You need to advocate for your child and if it means researching everything about a particular injury or surgery, then do it! THANK YOU DR. CARRION for giving my daughter a better quality of life??

He did bilateral heel cord lengthening on my 17yrold diabetic son’s heels - horrible - virtually no follow-up - a real creep - no help with his pain and inability to walk afterwards - begged and got p/t script - finally saw another dr and today learned one Achilles’ tendon has a complete tear - 5 months now post-op, can barely walk … he’s a monster …

Dr. Carrion did my spine fusion in 2013. He was courteous, understanding, and very knowledgeable about my spine condition. I had a type of juvenile kyphosis and bad scoliosis. My surgery went very well, and fixed my scoliosis. I just went back to him for a visit to review my most recent MRI. Again, Dr. Carrion was very considerate of the pain I’ve been having, and put together a treatment plan to help the pain. I highly recommend going to him if you have an orthopedic condition and/or injury. He is an excellent surgeon and a caring doctor.

Dr. Carrion was very thorough and has a great bedside manner. He is extremely knowledgeable and spent a lot of time to properly examine my daughter and explain everything to us in great detail. He was compassionate and showed genuine concern for my daughter. I would highly recommend him!

Never got passed making an appointment called at 10:30 AM on 12/16/2020 and whoever was answering calls was nasty and rude. After her 3rd answer in a demeaning tone I ended the call. Stony Brook receptionists are always hit or miss. Sometimes they are amazing other times they act like they are doing you a favor by making an appointment. Its a shame he seems like a decent doctor.
