Karen E. Beckman's Online Review Report Card

Was a big fan of Dr. Beckman, she was my pediatrician and then converted to my PCP. I have followed her through multiple locations, etc. But I was recently released as a patient because I had an outstanding balance of less than $200 that I was unaware of. I paid it, and THEN was told I was discharged. Poor practice from someone I have followed since I was a teenager. Really let me down especially ...

Changed doctors because I always waited much too long-up to 1.5 hours only to have her be rushed and only spend 4-5 minutes with me. She didn't explain things to me and she didn't listen to my concerns or take them seriously.

I like Dr.Beckman but I don’t like when the associate calls and tells me that I will get dismiss or discharge if I don’t keep my appointment.

I thought all was good until they wanted me to come in for a physical. I asked if I could just get a prescription refill, as I was nervous about exposure to COVID-19. I am 60 and I drive my mother to doctors appointments. She has one functioning lung, COPD in that lung (never a smoker) and presently undergoing Chemo. When I asked if I could put off the appointment I was yelled at (yes yelled at). I told them I would make an appointment and then they gave me 30 days of prescriptions. About 15 days into my prescriptions, I called to make an appointment and was informed I was dropped as a patient for not following my health guidelines. I am a type 2 diabetic. In 2011 I lost 30 lbs, run, climb mountains, lift weights and my diabetes is well controlled. I then asked for 30 more days of prescription so I could find a new doctor and they said no. Well, I did some homework and threatened a patient abandonment suit. They then gave 30 days more. I am in the process of finding a new doctor. Also, when I go in for a physical and want to talk about something else, it's always you need to make another appointment. Please do yourself a favor and skip this KAREN.

The practice is very disturbing. No time for proper visits, very bad communication from doctor to nurses to patients. I changed my phone number and gave them the new one a couple different times and they continued to call the old one.

If there were 10 stars possible, I would give Dr. Beckman 10 stars. She is wonderful! She is on time. She LISTENS to you. She answers questions clearly. She only orders necessary tests. She answers questions via the Patient Portal rapidly. I really have come to trust her judgement. She actually talked me into having a colonoscopy. Her nurse is great too. I can't say enough positive things about her. The only problem is getting through to the main office number is difficult right now (Covid-19 pandemic).

Actually Dr. Karen Beckman is an amazing physician I was a patient of hers for several years when she was first starting out and was doing her residency at Saint Joseph's Hospital ... she's an amazing, loving and caring person I loved her and I know you will as well!

I have been seeing Dr Beckman for 20 years and she has always been thorough, caring and an amazing doctor. She literally saved my life when she correctly diagnosed a rare disease I had. She goes the extra mile to give the very best care to her patients.

Dr. Beckman is a true evidence-based physician. In my experience, she doesn't perform services that are not required and she doesn't get sucked into the various lies of the too often drug seeking patients. If you want someone to tell you what you want to hear instead of the (sometimes difficult) truth, then go to someone else. This is a physician that cares about her patients sometimes more than they care about themselves. I could not rate her higher.

She appears all sweet and concerned then she turns evil if you question her! Then you get kicked out of the practice and blackball you from other prospective physicians! I had no new physician, go at into an accident ( not my fault ) and she refused to see me! Evil!
