List of Robert A Sherman's Reviews
He is an excellent surgeon. Explains everything and does not push surgery if not needed. I had a total knee replacement and I am fully functional without any pain. Dr. Sherman is very easy to talk to and does not rush appointments. I have recommended him to several other people. He uses the robotic arm to obtain the exact fit for the knee replacement. Will go to him again should I need any other ...
Good bedside manor! Very compassionate did excellent job on knee replacement
Dr. Sherman and staff saved my life
Dr. Sherman was recommended to me by more than one acquaintance, so I chose him even though his facilities was located a bit of a drive from me. The Ortho clinic on Fly rd was VERY busy, but the various staff members got me through as best they could, from registration to xray. If you don't walk in there with a sense of entitlement and impatience, you will be fine! I thought Dr. Sherman was very personable and he answered all my questions and described everything in detail. That was just the preop visit and surgery is scheduled a couple months out.
Excellent doctor! He did both hips. Awesome results!
One of the best doctors I’ve ever dealt with did a total hip replacement for me. Has a great sense of humor I felt very comfortable with him surgery was phenomenal. I can walk again.
Went to see Dr. Sherman for a second opinion regarding problems with my leg and hip after having two hip surgeries required after a bad accident I was in. He wasn’t interested in hearing about my pain, pretty much dismissed me after saying my problem was related to my back, not my hip. Told me to see a back dr and left the room. He made me feel like a piece of dirt that was wasting his time.
Dr. Sherman came highly recommended for a hip replacement surgery. I called to make an appointment for a surgical consult. He refused to see me until he could review my records. I was given the wrong fax number by someone at the office. I called to see if they received my records and was told, "we get hundreds of records per day, it takes a while to sort through them, Dr. Sherman is incredibly busy". I ask if I get some confirmation that my records were received and was told that I have to call back to find out on my own. I finally get the correct fax number and send the records but was unable to confirm that they were received. I was told to call back an hour after sending them- which I did, but was unable to even leave a voicemail message. I checked in another time and was told that Dr. Sherman reviewed my notes and determined that he "had nothing to offer me" and that I could check with another sports orthopedic in their practice. Several attempts were made to reach someone to find out what this meant. I spoke to someone today who said that she no longer had my referral and was unable to find out what "nothing to offer" means. Once the Dr. denies a request, everything gets thrown away. In order to find out what this means, I would have to submit another referral but "there is no guarantee that the result would be different". I am young and wondering if I really do need a hip replacement. If so then I want to go with someone who was referred to me- not someone new to the practice. I am very disappointed with my experience with this office. I would think that anyone would want to know why a doctor felt he/she had nothing to offer a patient- do I not need surgery in his opinion, should I be pursuing a different type of surgery, am I too young for this surgery, etc.? How can you simply deny it and then not have any followup for the patient?
Had total knee replacement October 2017. Recovery and rehabilitation finished in 4 weeks. 2 years now no problems.
I have been going to Dr Sherman about 2 years now, had one hip replacement, and will most likely need another one, I wouldn’t go to anyone else! He’s caring, takes his time, and answers all questions ! He is the best !!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
