Scott Van Valkenburg's Online Review Report Card

I first met Dr Van Valkenburg when I came with one of my patients to their appointment. Being a physical therapist for over 30 years I have met some orthopedic surgeons I would never recommend. This was not the case with Dr Van Valkenburg. In fact, I was impressed enough to bring my own husband, another patient and myself to see him. During my appointment Dr Van Valkenburg took the time to listen to me as I described my problem, he reviewed with me my x-rays and discussed his assessment and plan of care. During all of our appointments Dr Van Valkenburg consistently presented himself as a professional with a high level of knowledge and skill but at the same time an easy mannerism that places people at ease and easy to converse with.

Dr. Vanvalkenburg performed a total ankle replacement on my arthritic ( bone on bone) left ankle. I’m 4 months post surgery and attend physical therapy twice a week. My experience with Dr. V has been amazing. He would speak in layman’s terms often for my understanding of my condition. His knowledge of the foot and ankle are superb and he acknowledges everyone is different in their condition. He is not arrogant and has a laid back personality which made me feel completely at ease. Never once did I feel rushed at an appointment and his commitment to helping me was met 100 %. I’m walking and still working to fulfill my commitment to him as to my part of healing. My husband and I are looking forward to retirement now that I have a second chance at living a pain free life. My appreciation to God for blessing Dr. Scott Vanvalkenburg with such skillful hands, an abundance of knowledge and a kind heart for all his patients.

Dr. Vanvalkenburg couldn't be bothered to give me more than 5 minutes of his time. I waited over an hour and a half at to see him. He was rude about what was going on with my foot and wouldn't listen to my symptoms or look at it for more than a second. I left more confused than when I entered.

Dr Vanvalkenburg is not only an incomparably consummate professional whose expertise is without equal, but he has a wonderfully comforting manner that sets one immediately at ease. He performed my total ankle replacement last December and did an absolutely wonderful job. I’m very lucky to have had him as my surgeon, and I highly recommend his services.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Vanvalkenburg. I had a severe deformity of my right foot from an accident when I was a teen. He performed surgery and did a reconstruction of my foot. The results were amazing. He is a brilliant surgeon. I cannot be happier with the results. He is a very compassionate man and his staff is also excellent. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. VanValkenburg is a genius! I came to him after a severe ankle fracture resulted in unsuccessful surgery. I had been advised by the other surgeon that the only remedy for my malunion and pain would be an ankle fusion. I found Dr. VanValkenburg after asking for recommendations from friends. He had succesfully performed an ankle replacement for a colleague. Dr. V. consulted with me and devised a plan to surgically reconstruct my ankle. Every aspect of my experience with his practise has been exemplary. The surgery was a complete success, and I could not be happier!!

A consummate professional; knowledgeable, communicates well, and proficient. almost zero wait time from the time I arrived. Excellent experience.

I can't say enough about Dr. Vanvalkenburg and his staff. I recently had a horrible traumatic injury to my foot and was lucky that he was the doctor on call. He has a great bedside manor and he spent time with my family and I reviewing his recommendations. Our trust was not wasted as I ended up with a fantastic result! His staff was nothing short of exceptional and was there for me any time of day or night. I would definitely recommend Dr. Vanvalkenburg to any of my family and friends!
