List of St. John's Episcopal Hospital Emergency Room's Reviews
I'm am currently at the emergency room since 12pm and it is now 6:13pm. I am pregnant and heavy bleeding and about to faint. I am hungry and no one has even offered me a cup of water. I've seen my doctor twice only and no one has checked on me. This is far more the worst hospital ever...they look at people like insects. How are they still running this hospital!!! Unbelievable!!! I'm ready to walk out. They deserve ZERO stars!!! They refuse to give me water and it's now 7pm. How can a pregnant woman be without a drop of water and anything to eat at hospital when they should be caring for you not torturing you!!!
Took mysel & my 3 yr old son there last night. I had a seizure a couple of weeks ago, got a bad head wound and landed really hard on my side. My son has a bad case of atopic dermatitis and needed his ears to be flushed due to the accumulation of ear wax. I know my rights as a patient & caregiver, this guy just didnt want to help at all. I get it. St. John is a chop shop, good for nothing more than putting a bandaid on a bullet wound. I ❤️ their pediatric clinic, that is right across the street. Never once a bad experience, especially Dr. Cynthia Criss ❤❤🙌❤❤. I actually feel bad for the staff, im sure the conditions suck. Overall, St johns needs a better working atmosphere & conditions otherwise their quality to care, will be below average.
Was in the waiting room for 4 hours and it wasn’t even full
I wouldn’t read any of the reviews. This place in my experience is very new and very clean. The staff is actually very helpful and they’re very nice. It’s an ER They have a lot of work so they don’t have time to be the nicest constantly but they are very pleasant. Wait time at 10pm Sunday’s was 30 mins maybe a little under and my total time was about 4 hours for my father. Don’t worry before coming here it’s not anything as the other reviews made it seem.
I'm glad to be part of that army of st john's I was a robot of that hospital in 2003 when here I was studying all my years as a robot I'm happy that I have slot of souldours of that city of one and if they ask me to do a job I'm there when I have money and I be to there on the job working from outside
was in the waiting room for 3 hours. Save your time and go to Jamaica
Great staff along with professionalism and caring hearts. Plus the new lobby, emergency & waiting rooms are absolutely beautiful.
I’ve been sitting in the emergency room since 11pm and the current time is 3:33am .I told the staff as well as the nurse I have shortness of breath no one seems to care they al have ignored me and allowed other patients ahead of me . I spoke to the nursing supervisor she ignored me as well . This is definitely the hospital to come to if your ready to kick the bucket .
Remember this is a hospital for emergency care. Which they do provide. I spent 1hr 30 min. Not bad clinics and pcp can take longer than that. Its clean brite and beautiful and they are redesigning the space. The ED staff are efficient and caring. This is the hospital my family uses for it's emergency care and will continue to do so.
The place is old and dirty. The triage nurse (when she showed up) was good, but disorganized. She placed me in a room with a person with my last name and similar complaints which caused a whole lot of confusion that I had to make sure they were on top of there game. They accessed me and said they were ordering a CT scan. It took two hours for someone to get me, for a five minute procedure. It took equally long to get the results. But they wanted to do more test, 2 hours later they drag me. Up to get a sonogram, once that's done they left me in the sonogram room for 45 minutes waiting to transport. The emergency room I was sharing was freezing. The woman I was sharing the room with had an upper respiratory infection. Which me (and my husband who stayed with me overnight) contracted and showed symptoms of shortly after I was discharged. The worst part was that they were having a holiday party in their cafeteria which left the ER understaffed. My total visit was 18 hours. Others were there longer and without seeing a doctor. There were 3 patients who were screaming at staff because they had not been seen and were not allowed to leave. It was a mess.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
